What can we do when the world is such a challenging place?
Just because we meditate doesn't mean we don't feel fear, anxiety or anger at world events.
But by meditating, we learn to self-regulate, process this with more peace, and find new ways to act to bring more peace into our world.
If you bring energy of peace, for a few moments, into your life, then you automatically share this with others - your kids, your family, your relationships, your friends, your work colleagues... your community.
It's a ripple effect. And it starts with the source of peace within you.
It starts with the heart within that loves you deeply and wants you to know you are already a container for peace.
Perhaps you haven't been shown how to access it yet - then meditate with a good teacher or group.
Perhaps you do know how to access it, but forgot it was there.
So meditate.
If you can't sit still in meditation, then walk. Walk with the breath. Walk in nature. Walk knowing that the earth is under your feet, holding you up and supplying each breath you breathe.
Each breath, breathed with awareness, is like a step into your peace 'well' within. Do it now as you read this.
Breathing in,
I know I am breathing in
Breathing out
I know I am breathing out.
(now smile)
In this moment, you are alive, and each breath, breathed with the energy of peace, is shared worldwide.
Is it time to practice?
Is it time to bring peace into your little 'patch' of the earth.
(Your heart is waiting).
Namaste.
