We had a beautiful ride through Torbreck Woods yesterday with sunlight shining through the woods. Check out the menacing grey clouds at the start of the ride. Would you believe that we miraculously managed to dodge all the rain, which thundered down before and after the ride? Fantastic company, and really lovely to be out in the best of the day.

It's a great document that helps inform active travel decisions across Inverness and the Highlands. Well worth a browse, as we discussed on our ride this week.

The Inverness Walking & Cycling Index 2025 has officially launched today at Northern Meeting Park Pavilion.

The data shows strong public support for improvements that make it easier to walk, wheel and cycle.

Each year, active travel in Inverness:
• Prevents 223 serious long-term health conditions
• Contributes £75.3m to the local economy
• Avoids 3,700 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions

This year’s report is a partnership between Walk Wheel Cycle Trust and The Highland Council, with input from residents and organisations across the city.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed their experiences. We look forward to continuing this vital work to support healthier, greener travel choices.

How times have changed since last week... a very pleasant warm ride through Inshes park this week! The swoopy path didn't disappoint as our riders conquered the hill up and enjoyed the descent down. ⛰️

Beginner friendly bike maintenance classes designed to help you feel more confident fixing things on your bike. Each session will focus on a different area of bike maintenance. All sessions are 0945-1115 at the James Cameron centre in Dalneigh

February 25th - Puncture repair / Taking wheels on and off
March 11th - Chains / How to replace them
March 25th - Adjusting brakes and gears
