Yesterday evening, I met up with a group of men who will be forming part of the team for the upcoming Urban Campfire.
The event will be hosted at AMPP Studio on Dove Street (Ipswich), with sessions led by Kane, Leon, Derrick, and myself, supported by Damola. Together, we represent a diverse group of mentors, each bringing different backgrounds, lived experiences, and perspectives.
Our aim is simple but important: to offer an alternative narrative to what is often portrayed in the manosphere.
Through shared experiences, open conversations, and practical activities, whether that’s preparing food together or collaborating on music for the EP, we want to create a space where young men feel seen, heard, and valued. A space where they can express themselves freely, build genuine connections, and recognise that their voices and contributions to society matter.
This is about stepping away from the noise, away from the screens, the doom-scrolling, and the pull of social media. Reconnecting in a more meaningful way. Sometimes, all it takes is a conversation. And you never know where that conversation might lead.
A big thank you to Sarah Nkugwa for hosting, organising, and bringing us all together for this.
If you know any young men aged 14–19 who would benefit from being part of this experience, please get in touch via the website.
