A little yin goes a long way 🤍
In Yin Yoga each Asana is held for anywhere between 3 - 10 minutes, may be a little shorter or longer; every guide, asana and practice will differ. But enough time for your body to relax and reap the benefits.
Just some of the benefits of the Asanas in the reel:
✨ Child’s Pose: stretches the back muscles and calms the nervous system encouraging grounding and rest.
✨ Thread the Needle: gently releases tension through the shoulders and upper back.
✨ Sphinx creates a soft opening through the chest & upper back, it can also help reduce lower back pain & improve spine flexibility.
It’s a beautiful practice at any time of day, but I personally feel the benefits most in the morning, the evening, during stressful moments, or after a more Yang-style practice (so anytime really 😁) ✨
