A universal mistake that I see often

Shoulders shape your posture in upward facing dog. Scrunching and rolling forward puts strain on the neck and wrists. Drawing them back and down stabilizes the spine and frees the breath. Small shifts make large changes in strength and safety.

Press palms firmly into the mat, activate thighs, and keep gaze lifted. Engage core muscles to reduce pressure on the lumbar spine. Alignment brings harmony across joints and muscles. Each inhale expands chest while each exhale grounds hips.

When you hold the pose with awareness, you build resilience in arms, shoulders, and back. Energy spreads evenly through the body. Practice this correction to reduce injury risk and to strengthen with purpose. Every pose becomes more effective when you move with precision. 💪🌞

The moon rises over the quiet hills, bathing the earth in her soft, reflective glow. In yoga, she is Chandra, the embodiment of calm, cool, and steady energy — a reminder that illumination does not always come from burning brightly, but from receiving and reflecting light with grace.

Like the moon, we too have phases. We wax in energy, wane into stillness, disappear into shadow, and return to fullness. None of these stages is wrong or incomplete — each is part of the rhythm of being alive.

Tonight, she stands whole in the sky, yet we know she will change. Her lesson is quiet but profound: fullness and emptiness are both sacred; neither defines us, for we are part of an endless cycle.

🕊️ Before every treatment, I always lie down on the massage table for a few moments.

It’s not just a habit—it’s a ritual.
I lie there to feel the table from the client’s perspective. Is it warm enough? Does it feel held, supported, inviting?
But more than that, it’s a moment to land. To pause.
To connect with the space, the intention, and the energy before welcoming someone in.

That brief stillness helps me shift into a more present, grounded state—so I can hold space more fully for whoever is coming next.

It’s my way of honouring the table, the practice, and the person about to receive.

THE TRAIN - At birth we boarded the train and met our parents, and we believe they will always travel by our side. As time goes by, other people will board the train; and they will be significant i.e. our siblings, friends, children, and even the love of your life. However, at some station our parents will step down from the train, leaving us on this journey alone. Others will step down over time and leave a permanent vacuum. Some, however, will go so unnoticed that we don't realize they vacated their seats. This train ride will be full of joy, sorrow, fantasy, expectations, hellos, goodbyes, and farewells. Success consists of having a good relationship with all passengers requiring that we give the best of ourselves.
The mystery to everyone is: We do not know at which station we ourselves will step down. So, we must live in the best way, love, forgive, and offer the best of who we are. It is important to do this because when the time comes for us to step down and leave our seat empty we should leave behind beautiful memories for those who will continue to travel on the train of life.
