Spent yesterday working with a fabulous group of yoga instructors, hosted by , getting them fully certified in Emergency First Aid at Work.

It’s always great to see professionals in the wellness industry taking safety seriously. This group brought fantastic energy to the course and they are now equipped with the skills and confidence to handle emergencies, ensuring their studios remain a safe space for everyone.

Incredible session today at The Fairbank Society! It’s always a privilege to train people right here in my hometown.

We covered the essentials that save lives:

• High-quality CPR (Basic Life Support)
• ​AED confidence (Using a defibrillator)
• ​Choking response and treatment

​The team at The Fairbank Society brought great energy and asked some brilliant questions. In a rural community like ours, these skills are more than just a certificate—they are a lifeline.

🚨 RFU Emergency First Aid Course is Changing! 🚨

From August 1st, 2025, the RFU will stop offering the Emergency First Aid in Rugby Union (EFARU) course due to new regulations.

🔥 Busy day for TEX Training today delivering the first 2 of 8 Fire Extinguisher Training sessions for the team at Lappet Manufacturing Carlisle.

💪 24 staff trained so far, with more to come over the next couple of weeks. Great engagement from everyone involved — it’s always good to see people gaining confidence in how to safely tackle a fire in its early stages.

📅 Looking forward to completing the rest of the sessions soon!

🩺 First on Scene Training for Scout & Guide Volunteers! 🌲⛑️

Yesterday I had the pleasure of running a bespoke First on Scene first aid course for a fantastic group of Girl Guide and Scout volunteers.

The session was designed specifically around the kinds of incidents they might face while out on camps, hikes, or community events — with a strong focus on building confidence in early response.

We covered:
✅ Primary assessment
✅ Managing medical emergencies
✅ CPR & defib use
✅ Burns, bleeds, and breaks
✅ Realistic outdoor first aid scenarios

Today, we proudly gave back to our local community by running two free Basic Life Support (BLS) and AED training sessions for one of our nearby churches, which recently installed a Public Access Defibrillator. ❤️⚡

Thanks to these sessions, we now have a new group of confident first aiders, ready to act and use the defibrillator if ever needed. 🩺✨

Together, we're making our community safer! 💪🙌
