Recently we had a great couple of days delivering two Emergency First Aid at Work + Forestry (EFAW+F) courses for the students at Myerscough College’s Croxteth Park campus in Liverpool 🌳🚑

It was fantastic to work with such a motivated group, covering essential life-saving skills tailored to forestry and outdoor environments – from dealing with catastrophic bleeding and trauma, through to CPR and casualty management in remote settings.

A big thank you to all the students for getting fully involved and bringing great energy to the sessions – a real credit to the college 👏

I always say I don’t have favorite students, but today I’m prepared to make an exception. 🐾

​Huge thanks to the team at for a fantastic Basic Life Support & Choking session today.

Everyone did a cracking job, but I have to give a special shout-out to Dexter the Golden Retriever.

He did a fantastic job at playing the casualty during our DRS ABCDE check. Safe to say, he’s the top of the class!

Great session in Lancaster last week delivering an Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course to a group of swimming instructors. 🏊‍♂️

Because they spend so much time poolside, we also looked at the important differences when dealing with children and babies in a first aid situation.

We covered everything from CPR and choking management to recognising serious medical emergencies, with plenty of discussion about how first aid techniques change for younger casualties.

Swimming instructors are often the first people there when something goes wrong in or around the water, so building confidence to act quickly is incredibly important.

A really engaged group and a pleasure to work with!

Spent yesterday working with a fabulous group of yoga instructors, hosted by , getting them fully certified in Emergency First Aid at Work.

It’s always great to see professionals in the wellness industry taking safety seriously. This group brought fantastic energy to the course and they are now equipped with the skills and confidence to handle emergencies, ensuring their studios remain a safe space for everyone.

Incredible session today at The Fairbank Society! It’s always a privilege to train people right here in my hometown.

We covered the essentials that save lives:

• High-quality CPR (Basic Life Support)
• ​AED confidence (Using a defibrillator)
• ​Choking response and treatment

​The team at The Fairbank Society brought great energy and asked some brilliant questions. In a rural community like ours, these skills are more than just a certificate—they are a lifeline.

🚨 RFU Emergency First Aid Course is Changing! 🚨

From August 1st, 2025, the RFU will stop offering the Emergency First Aid in Rugby Union (EFARU) course due to new regulations.
