It's a lovely morning down in the South Yorkshire for today's trail races. Best of luck for those competing in today's 50 mile, 30 mile and half marathon events! An extra incentive to get round quick, there's something called rain at about 1600hrs moving in!

We’ve had a busy weekend on the Montane Lakeland 50 and the Lakeland 100 Ultra Trail Marathons.

We’ve had a team of clinicians out on the course and in the event village providing paramedic led care for the competitors.

The event started at 1800hrs on Friday and finished 1200hrs today. 42hours of continuous medical cover over a huge and challenging route across the Lake District. With the usual challenges of terrain, weather and communication.

But that’s nothing compared to the competitors who completed the event!

Below is the video of the winner coming in on the Lakeland 100.

Please note our medical team were not handing our hugs, kisses and brews to all finishers. Our team member Stu knows Damian well and thought he needed a brew!
