🧠✨ “Trust your gut,” they say...

But what if your gut is bloated, your mind foggy and you just downright fed up? About 10 years ago, I was there. Exhausted, inflamed, constantly uncomfortable — and every GP visit ended with another prescription that didn’t help. Until a friend recommended a herbalist/nutritional therapist in Stroud (think: Mrs. Doubtfire meets gut health guru 🧙‍♀️). She introduced me to something I’d never heard of at the time — the gut microbiome.

I changed my diet, (mostly) gave up red meat, and read everything I could get my hands on. In fact, the only German book I’ve read in the last 20 years is “Darm mit Charme” by Giulia Enders — part science, part comedy, total game-changer.

💩 Ever thought about what your poo can tell you about your health? Even King Henry VIII had someone check his daily output to monitor for disease! 🤷‍♀️ see picture 😅

➡️ What I didn’t realise then: my gut issues were also a symptom of burnout — that’s how deeply our gut and brain are connected.

OUR BODIES NEED A GOOD NIGHT’S SLEEP

🌍 Greetings from the USA, where this holiday has turned into an unexpected exploration of sleep! 😴

As I bounce between hotels, I’m realising how crucial good sleep is for our overall health and performance. Jet lag feels like a boxing match! 🥊

Sleep isn’t just about counting sheep—it’s essential for physical health, mental clarity, and emotional resilience.

Here are a few tips I’ve picked up to improve my sleep quality while travelling:

🔸Stay Consistent: Try to sleep and wake at the same time, even on holiday. ⏰

🔸Create a Sleep Sanctuary: Bring your favourite pillow spray (ask me about the amazing So Sleepy Pillow Mist from and use blackout curtains.

🔸Limit Screens: Turn off devices to help your mind unwind. 📺

🔸Mindfulness and Relaxation: Meditate or practice deep breathing before bed. 🧘‍♀️

NEW YEAR, NEW HABITS? LET’S MAKE THEM STICK

Happy New Year! The new year is here, and with it comes the promise of fresh starts and big dreams! 💭 Whether it’s losing a few pounds, drinking more water (instead of wine 🍷), or finally becoming a morning yoga or workout enthusiast 🧘‍♀️, building new habits is exciting… and, let’s be honest, a bit tricky! But remember, new habits aren’t about becoming a brand-new you—they’re about gently shifting towards a better, more balanced version of yourself.

Common Obstacles

The “All or Nothing” Trap: You skip one gym or yoga session and suddenly feel like you’ve failed. Spoiler: You haven’t. 🙌 and anyway, there’s no such thing as failure. 
Old Habits Die Hard: Reaching for a biscuit during tea breaks or when in need of some energy is second nature, right? 🍪
Too Much, Too Soon: Trying to overhaul your entire life in the first week of January might work… until the second week of January.

So, How Can You Overcome Them?

Start Small, take baby steps: Instead of aiming for an hour yoga or workout every day, commit to a 10-minute walk instead. It’s progress, not perfection!

Stack Your Habits: Want to drink more water? Pair it with an existing habit—like sipping a glass while waiting for your coffee to brew. ☕💧

Forgive and Forget: Missed a day? It’s OK. Progress isn’t a straight line—it’s more like a squiggly one with lots and lots of detours!

My Secrets to Success

Focus on the Feeling: Instead of obsessing over the scales, think about how great you’ll feel with more energy. 🎉

Accountability is Key: Share your goals with a friend, coach 😉 A little nudge goes a long way! 🤝

Reward Yourself: Celebrate the wins—big or small. A bubble bath or that new book you’ve been eyeing? You’ve earned it. 🛁📚

This year, embrace the journey and learnings, and make 2025 the year of realistic, sustainable habits.

Join me for the ‘not to be missed’ annual Festive Tea Party and Shopping event, this year at the Windmill Village Hotel in Coventry. I’ll be there to answer questions about all aspects of health and wellbeing and you’ll also be able to taste some of the world-class .eu supplements that play a major role in my overall health and performance.

The afternoon starts at 12.00 pm with an opportunity to browse and buy an array of Christmas gifts (showcased by independent businesses from our network), with a sit-down festive afternoon tea from 1.00 pm.

WELLBEING DAY AT SPENCER PARK

Come and join us on June 29th from 11am-3pm at beautiful Spencer Park in Coventry for a day all about health and wellbeing!!

Local practitioners are joining forces to offer taster sessions, incl. different types of yoga meditation, Pilates, Tai Chi, Nordic Walking but also Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Reiki, but also information on gut health and healing plants.

The event is suitable for the whole family as there is an array of free activities for kids too.

The Pavilion Café will be open for refreshments and we will have local wellbeing charities on site for advice.

We’re hoping for sunshine on the day, which will make it a fantastic day out with the whole family. Thank you to and for supporting the event! 🧡

Mens sana in corpore sano is latin and translates to a healthy mind in a healthy body and as a consequence a happy and healthy life!

However, bringing both into balance can be difficult. Sometimes certain aspects of our health are worrying us or we are constantly feeling overwhelmed and stressed. Certain life transitions may require a change to our lifestyle and habits but we don't know where to begin.

New beginnings can be daunting but they don't have to be. In fact they are a chance to learn more about ourselves and explore what we really want out of life. They allow for reflection and can result in a sense of renewal and a new equilibrium.

In my coaching practice I take a holistic approach and draw from a variety of disciplines. Coaching can help people gain new insights and develop sustainable strategies to achieve overall health and wellbeing.
