This week is National Mental Health Awareness week which is focusing on the importance of community. Through meaningful relationships and community participation we gain support systems that help us navigate life’s challenges. Communities can provide emotional support, companionship, and a sense of belonging that reduces isolation. Loneliness is a very difficult thing to endure and being part of a community can help combat this. If you are looking for support with anxiety, confidence and self-esteem to enable you reach out to others and participate in community life, counselling can help with this, improving mental health problems and overall well-being.
