A NEW CHAPTER IS LOADING...

Some of you will know that my love for antiques and beautiful objects isn’t new, it’s been part of my life for as long as I can remember.

From the age of five, I accompanied my dad to antiques and flea markets across Belgium, France and later the Netherlands. I was his little translator, helping him negotiate and connect, and without realising it at the time, I was also learning. Learning to see the beauty in objects, the craftsmanship and quality, the history, the stories they carry.

Throughout my teenage years and well into adulthood, I stayed close to his business. Even after his untimely passing, that part of my life has never left me. It shaped my eye, my appreciation for interior design, and my deep love for all things weird and wonderful, soulful and beautifully made. It also sparked a lifelong love of collecting, especially delicate antique demitasse cups (basically old espresso cups). I'm particularly fond of Royal Worcester pieces, each one carrying its own quiet story.

Over the years, that passion evolved. From upholstery to sewing, from working with fabrics to creating my own pieces. And recently, I’ve taken the time to reflect on that journey.

What became very clear is this: this has always been part of me. Which is why it now feels like a very natural step to bring everything together under one direction.

With Equilibrium Lifestyle, I’m expanding beyond thoughtfully handmade pieces to also include carefully sourced decorative antiques and vintage finds - pieces that carry history, craftsmanship and meaning.

Objects with Meaning. Crafted & Collected with Purpose.

This isn’t something new. It’s something that has been quietly growing in the background for years, and now finally feels fully aligned.

I’m so excited for this new chapter ☺️ I hope you’re too.

I’ve wanted to launch bags for ages… but couldn’t decide which kind. To start with, I chose the classic: Mindful Shopper Totes — because who doesn’t love a tote, and we all need one, or two or three in our life. 😅

They’re fun + sturdy: organic cotton canvas, reinforced 40mm navy webbing handles (recycled cotton & recycled polyester), a roomy boxed base, and joyful chenille lettering (KLEINS designer deadstock) to brighten the everyday. Slow-made in my Stitching Den in Warwickshire. The first small drop is live now — starting with SMILE 😊

MAGICAL FLEA MARKETS

There’s something magical about flea markets — every stall hides a story, every piece a past life waiting to be discovered.

This week while visiting family and friends in Belgium, I was strolling over a flea market in with a friend, when she suddenly stopped and pointed out a little stall piled high with vintage fabrics.

✨Among them, these two caught my eye - a 70s polyester remnant and a dark brown faux ostrich leather piece - and I knew instantly it had to take them home with me.

I can already picture them as a roomy tote bag… but then again, part of the joy of creating is keeping an open mind. Perhaps it will become a cushion cover, a makeup bag, or something completely unexpected.
