What a lovely way to start Easter 🐣🌸

Over the past two days, we’ve welcomed 25+ families to our Easter sessions, thank you to everyone who joined us 💛

From filling and pouring rice, to finding Peter Rabbit in the sand, exploring books, enjoying our beautiful photo areas, decorating Easter cards, and creating special keepsakes 🥰

Our sessions are now open for booking all the way through to June. We will then be taking a short break from regular sessions to run our summer holiday club, before returning in September ⬇️🤍

We had the pleasure of caring for 9 children with our team of 5 nannies for Cait & Tom’s special day at the beautiful Low Hall 🤍

From creating a cosy indoor children’s corner to enjoying outdoor play, the afternoon was full of fun and happy little faces ✨ We also assisted with a children-only mealtime, allowing the adults to relax and enjoy a child-free meal.

Our wedding childcare packages are completely tailored to your vision - whether you need us for a small part of your day or from start to finish, we’re here to help everything run smoothly for you and your little guests 🤍

We have some exciting news to share… after over 3 amazing years as Family Sensory Cumbria, we are officially changing our name to The Playroom 🎉

We wanted a name that truly reflects who we are and what we do. Wherever we go, play is always at the heart of it 💛

Here’s a few updates going forward;

✨ A bigger focus on special events, collaborations & bespoke setups for babies and toddlers
✨ More sessions across the week, including options for those wanting flexible, ad-hoc sensory sessions (Baby Club & Toddler Club). Our four week baby blocks will be returning later in the Summer too!
✨ Pop-up playrooms/childcare services on Mondays during term-time
✨ Events, parties & weddings are also a huge part of what we do

And finally… a huge milestone for us 🙌

Holiday Club now has a permanent home 🏡🤍

We just want to say a massive thank you to every single one of you who has supported us - it truly means everything. None of this would be possible without you 💛

A huge thank you to our amazing families for voting for us in the Cumbria Baby & Children’s Business Awards. Your support means the world to us 💛

Although we didn’t come home with an award, just having the opportunity to attend was such a special moment for us. Being recognised and surrounded by so many incredible businesses was an honour in itself.

Over the last three years, we’ve poured absolutely everything into building our business while juggling our part-time jobs. It hasn’t always been easy, but your encouragement and support has kept us going 🥰

At the start of this year we finally took the big leap and left our part-time jobs to run the business full time - something that simply wouldn’t have been possible without you continuing to support and believe in us every step of the way.

We have lots of exciting things coming and we can’t wait to share them with you. Thank you for being part of the journey with us, we are so grateful ✨

Yesterday we held our beautiful Mummy & Me event 💐

These events are always so special. They create a space where mamas and their little ones can slow down for a while, step away from the busyness of everyday life and simply enjoy being together. Watching those quiet moments of connection, little giggles, cuddles and proud smiles is something that never gets old ✨

We created the most beautiful canvas keepsakes, with little hands or feet. Our canvas decoration station gave mamas the chance to add their own personal touches. A lovely keepsake to treasure forever 💫

We were joined by Tara from TakenbyTara, who captured some beautiful moments between mama and baby 🥰

Events like this take many days of planning, preparing and nights waking up at 3am adding to our never ending to do list 🤣. Seeing you all bonding with your little ones, chatting, laughing and even making new friendships reminds us exactly why we do it 🥰

Motherhood can sometimes feel busy and overwhelming, so creating a space where you can pause, connect and make memories with your little one is truly what these mornings are all about and the main focus of our little business.

Thank you so much to everyone who came along and shared such a special morning with us 🤍

Unicorn magic for Rosie’s 5th birthday 🦄✨

We set up a Discovery Party for Rosie and her friends, filled with 7 unicorn-themed play stations to explore, including playdough, sand, crown decorating, rice play and more.

At our Discovery Parties, we turn children’s interests into one big invitation to play. Through thoughtfully designed, small-world play areas, children are encouraged to explore, connect, communicate and build friendships, all through the joy of play.
