Just an update on the Drop In service. We are going from strength to strength with the numbers. On October 10th we supported MIND with their awareness day for World Mental Health day and met many individuals within the support services.

This week we did a session on recruitment asking customers what they would like from the people that support them. People engaged well with this and gave some great feedback.

We will shortly be running a First Aid course with a certificate on completion, date to be announced.

We will be having a Christmas Party on Thursday 12th December in the evening, times to be confirmed.

We are looking to open later on Christmas Day for tea and festivities for those who would like some company on that day
Many thanks to everyone who has supported this initiative so far. It has been great to meet so many new people.😁

Due to the expansion of our Drop In and Supported Living Service we are looking for new support workers. Please see attached vacancy advert.

Legacy Drop In service is having it's Open Day on Thursday 1st August. Everyone is welcome, we would love to see you there.

We are a service that supports and enables young adults with learning disabilities to be as independent as possible. We empower people to become active members of their community and be able to make informed choices in all aspects of their lives.

We currently support people living in their home. Without purpose and meaningful activities people can become isolated and engage in more negative activities. As a result we are setting up a Drop In service, enabling peer support groups to take place, educational sessions will be delivered on a range of subjects, according to needs and people will be invited to come and talk about a range of issues and services that will inform lives. We are also going to train people up to help run the service themselves. and provide lunch and refreshments.

Through the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) and the Meanwhile Foundation we have acquired a space in a prime location in Kettering town centre. It is part of a nationwide initiative known as 'Open Doors' and we will share the space with other successful organisations.

It is a great opportunity to see if there is a need for this type of service and we will have use of the space for the Drop In every Thursday.
