With Christmas fast approaching, JoJos explorers get stuck in to some messy play using coloured rice.
Learning our colours RED & GREEN

Fine motor skills
Imagination, making food, drinks, talking about what we can find in the church at Christmas.
Learning new festive words:
Santa, Christmas tree, star, balls(baubles), angel, gingerbread man, candy cane and so many more.

It’s been so fun making a mess, exploring the texture and colours and getting so comfortable on the floor playing. 🎄🎄🎄🎄

Getting into the swing of Christmas this week, decorating our own little tree on the wall with stickers and home made stars.
Looking at numbers, counting, and talking about Christmas as a theme.

Fine motor skills

Building in new vocabulary
Mathematics, counting
Recognise colours, and shapes
Singing songs

Just having fun and playing around with the decorations.

This week we have looked at displays around the local area celebrating Remembrance Day, talking about what it is and why we celebrate.
We counted how many poppy’s we can spot on the school run.
❤️ we even attempted to make our own poppy picture!

Don’t be afraid to get messy!
Enjoy some sensory play with the pumpkin guts 🎃
Do some spooky themed 👻 story time.
Go in a lovely nature walk this week and take in the autumn 🍂
Go on a nature hunt and explore somewhere new.
Don’t be afraid to get crafty! 🎨

This is your sign to get pumpkins 🎃 early and just decorate with paint, paint pens, get messy with glue and go crazy!
Be imaginative!
Too early to cut the pumpkins 🎃 so this is a great way to have fun without too much mess.

Little explorers are discovering the season through textures, colours, and nature’s leaves 🍁
Pouring, tipping, in and out — all while building communication skills and widening their vocabulary.
We add a sprinkle of singing and rhyme to make learning extra fun! 🎶✨
