My limited-edition Winter Snow Moon soap is officially in low supply - and honestly, I’m not surprised! You lovely lot have been absolutely obsessed with this one at the markets.

With fragrance notes of amber, cedar, and patchouli, it’s deep, spicy, woody, and basically smells like a very sophisticated winter hug. It’s been flying off the shelves faster than I can say “pass me the moulds!”

I now have only a limited number of these beauties left - available in both full-size bars and mini bars. So if the Snow Moon is calling your name, now’s the moment to grab yours before they disappear. 🌙✨

What. A. Day. 😅

The soap kitchen has been an absolute whirlwind and I’m pretty sure I now qualify for some sort of Soapy Chaos Survival Badge. Thankfully, my eldest daughter Katie was on hand to help tackle the mountain of jobs we had waiting for us - honestly, it was starting to look like Everest (but with more bubbles and fewer sherpas).

First up: a HUGE thank you for all your lovely web orders that came in over the weekend! Every single one has now been packaged, labelled, fussed over, and sent off via Royal Mail Tracked 24 - so fingers crossed they’ll be landing on your doorstep tomorrow or Wednesday. 🎁📬

Then it was on to packing alllll the soaps and Surya Luna favourites heading north in Merlin the Mini tomorrow as I make my way up to Elgin. And because I appear to have zero chill when it comes to stock levels, we also packed three big overflow boxes. My wonderfully kind son Liam will be doing a heroic Inverness run on Friday to make sure I’ve got plenty to keep me going at Eden Court Theatre in Inverness on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. 💪🚙✨

And because Surya Luna truly is a full family affair, my daughter Ellie will also be flying the soapy flag this Saturday - she’ll be at the Edinburgh Vegan Festival with even more bubbles, bars, and beautiful scents. So if you’re in Edinburgh this weekend, prepare yourselves… the Surya Luna soap invasion is coming! 🧼🫧🎪

Somehow - and I’m still not sure how - we also managed domestic life: washing, cleaning, tidying, and making the house sparkle for my lovely cat sitter, who will be looking after my two Siamese mischief-makers while I’m away. 😼😼

So now I’m finally sitting down with a well-earned cuppa, feet up, and gearing up for the next leg of my soapy Christmas tour of Scotland. Merlin the Mini and I hit the road again tomorrow! 🚙🧼🎄 xXx

🎄✨ Buckle up folks… it’s officially Busy Season at Surya Luna Naturals! ✨🎄

I’m gearing up for what can only be described as a festive-market-marathon, and honestly, I’m considering adding “Professional Road Tripper” to my CV.

This weekend you’ll find me at the Gleddoch Hotel & Spa on Saturday AND Sunday, right in Langbank near Greenock.

Then on Tuesday, I’m packing up the soap mobile and heading north to Elgin to prepare for the Christmas Craft Fair at Innes House on Wednesday and Thursday with the lovely folks at Exclusively Highlands.

And because sleep is apparently optional in December, I’m then zooming straight up to Inverness to set up for Eden Court Theatre on Friday, Saturday, AND Sunday - also with Exclusively Highlands.

I’ll eventually roll home on Monday morning, crawl into the Soap Kitchen on Tuesday to catch up, and then it’s off out again for Crossbasket Castle near Blantyre on Wednesday and Thursday. At this point I should probably just knit a wee bed for the back of the stall.

All this festive gallivanting means I won’t be in the Soap Kitchen to post out web orders. So if you’re hoping to get something sent this week, please have your order in by Monday morning at the latest, and I’ll get it shipped that day. Any orders after that will head out the following Tuesday when I’m briefly reunited with my postage labels.

Next week is shaping up to be a very busy one here at Surya Luna… it’s a five-day festive market marathon from Wednesday right through to Sunday! 🎄✨

📍 Wednesday & Thursday – you’ll find me in beautiful Elgin at the stunning Innes House.
📍 Friday, Saturday & Sunday – I’m heading further north to Eden Court in Inverness.
Both events are with the fabulous Exclusively Highlands , and I can’t wait!

However… I have a confession. Merlin the Mini is mighty, but he’s not quite as spacious as Doctor Who’s TARDIS 🚙💨 As much as he tries his best, five days’ worth of Christmas markets is going to fill him right up to the roof! So I’m having to be very careful about what makes the cut.

At the moment, I’m planning not to bring the organic facial skincare range so I can squeeze in plenty of your festive favourites and some gorgeous gift sets. BUT — if you’re coming along to Elgin or Inverness and were hoping to pick up something from the organic skincare line, just drop me a message. I’ll happily tuck it into the box especially for you! 💛

🎄✨ Surya Luna Naturals on Tour… Again! ✨🎄

I’ve added a cheeky wee extra Christmas market to the calendar this weekend - Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd November - and I’m heading to the gorgeous Gleddoch Golf & Spa Resort in Langbank!

It’s just a quick half-hour jaunt from home here in North Ayrshire, and it’s shaping up to be a truly festive weekend filled with family fun. Think delicious food and drink, Santa visits for the little ones (and the big kids at heart!), plus the chance to wander the beautiful grounds overlooking the Firth of Clyde. 🌊🎅✨

I’ll be there with all your Surya Luna favourites, plenty of Christmas gift ideas, and lots of handcrafted treats to help you get into the festive spirit.

🎄✨ A HUGE thank you to everyone who popped by to see me at Newbattle Abbey College on Sunday!

What a fabulous festive market day it was - I absolutely loved meeting you all, chatting skincare, and watching the animal soaps quite literally gallop off the table. Honestly, I think they’re planning a breakout. 🐏🦆🐷🦉

Today I’ve been back in the soap kitchen, apron on and kettle full, working my way through all your lovely web orders from the weekend. Some of the Christmas gift sets heading out the door this morning looked so gorgeous I nearly gift-wrapped one for myself. (I didn’t… but it was close. 🎁😅)

I’ve also been working away on a brand new gift set - more on that later this week… 👀

And yes, restocking the animal soaps has been top priority. Those wee beasties are in high demand and clearly faster than I am.

🎄✨ It’s a double market weekend for Surya Luna Naturals! ✨🎄

You’ll be able to find all your Surya Luna favourites (and me!) at Newbattle Abbey College this weekend for the Christmas Market with 3D2D Events. I’ll be there Saturday and Sunday from 10:30am to 4pm each day — it’s the perfect festive setting to stock up on gifts or treat yourself to some natural skincare goodness. 💚

But that’s not all! You can also find Surya Luna in Dundee, with my daughter Ellie, on Saturday at the Craft & Flea Market in the Bonar Hall, from 11am to 4pm. So wherever you are, there’s a chance to shop local, support small, and discover something beautifully handmade. 🌿💫

🧬✨ New side project alert! ✨🧬

So, a few weeks ago a good friend was telling me all about how he was tracing his family tree and uncovering all sorts of fascinating things about his ancestors. Naturally, it got me thinking… 🤔

Fast forward to last week — and there I was, dutifully spitting into a tiny test tube (as you do 😅) and popping my DNA sample in the post to one of those well-known genealogy companies. The results aren’t back yet, but I’ve already started building my family tree using their app — and let’s just say, it’s a rabbit hole I’ve enthusiastically tumbled into! 🌳📱

I’m hoping to finally get some answers about who we are and where we come from because, at the moment, family knowledge is a little… sketchy, shall we say. So, if you see me over the next few weeks sitting in a corner frantically tapping away on my phone, don’t worry — I haven’t lost the plot completely. I’m just on a mission to discover my roots! 😄
