It is a feast for the senses 🥰

This is the Guildhall Christmas Fair in Derry that is starting tomorrow. 😍

Sometimes we need to be told...

I've been so busy recently, making herbal creams, tinctures and teas for my upcoming fayres, that it was a jolt when my beautiful friend Tastic asked me what small act of self care I would do for myself today.

My immediate response was that I didn't have time, but then she said it could even be just putting one hand on my heart and one on my belly for 1 minute.

So this is what I did. I went to the bench (placed for this very purpose!) in front of my herb rooms, and I just sat, with nature. Breathing in the trees, birds, clouds. Breathing out the fresh breeze, the specks of mizzle, the late blooming Evening Primrose.

And this helped me to remember,
This is the real pace of life.

We speed up so much in our "important" human busy-nesses. In our heads.

But nature teaches us the truth.

Life is slow, it smells of the earth and it sounds like bird song on the breeze.
