A lovely post from one ofmy regular clients, thank you so much Stacie Richie - Health Esteem Nation ###
I talk all the time about getting comfortable with the uncomfortable & leaning into the challenges thrown at us on and off the yoga mat ๐๐ผ
But we also have to listen to our bodies when they SHOUT loudly at us with messages of tightness, pain, headaches, restrictions in movement & physical exhaustionโฆ when they simply need us to slow down or take a break ๐ด
This past 8 years of teaching, coaching & training while awesome & fulfilling, like anything we do repeatedly it causes imbalances, injuries & exhaustion (which Iโm not always great at noticing until I burnout!)
Just because I teach yoga with a nurse background doesnโt mean Iโm immune from ailments.
Yoga and breathing techniques are amazing but Iโve learnt that a movement program is much more beneficial when you factor in regular recovery โค๏ธโ๐ฉน
So this last year Iโve focussed on listening to my body & helping it to move better by gifting it regular massage from Hibiscus massage ๐บ
Massage should be more than a one off indulgence on a Spa day. Regular massage will aid flexibility & mobility, keep injuries at bay as well as improve your mental resilience!
Donโt believe me ? Give it a try I dare you!
Movement Rest & Recovery work together to create health & fitness!
Massage is something I use to recover & it helps all of those niggles , aches & pains to keep me moving on my yoga mat & helps with tight and sore muscles when I overdo it !
AlWAYS Listen to your body and INVEST in recovery not just when you are injured but to keep you moving & well every day!
