Yes I’m supposed to be working here at Dereham, but I am sat next to so it’s not my fault! I’d never come across Sakura jasper before, but I couldn’t resist. Isn’t it gorgeous? It raises your self esteem, boosts your creativity, and helps to keep you grounded in the present. I think it’s rather beautiful, like millefiori.

My alarm cat went off at about 5am this morning, shouting at his displeasure about the lack of milk in his saucer, so I left my poorly husband to sleep and crept downstairs to serve my furry master. I’m now sitting in the quiet of the lounge, gentle light from the lamp and a warming flame in the lantern. I’ve made a big pot of loose leaf tea - somehow it tastes so much nicer than teabags and it’s much better for the environment - and as I open the curtains on another soggy day, I can hear the birds in the hazel hedge and oak tree waking up and starting their morning songs. This is my witchy happy place.
