Well done, Jemma!
This is an amazing achievement. We are all so proud of you!

Massive thank you to Jemma Cone & Janet Berg who recently did a sponsored swim the aim was to swim 22 miles in 31days
Jemma managed to swim 29 miles in 31 days and Janet did 25 miles in 31days..
Together they both raised £1200 for Mysterious Minds which is absolutely amazing
Well done Ladies and thank you to all that backed Jemma & Janet to raise this massive amount of money.

We had the wonderful Alan Turner in from the quality matters team to put us through our paces in some Fire Warden Training.

The team did an amazing job and are now way more confident in their abilities if the unthinkable does happen.

We had a "Fun Day" at Loran House!
We enjoyed a BBQ, which everyone said was amazing, followed by some live music where we all got to enjoy a good dance!

"My mum moved into Loran House in November, and the first thing that struck me was the absolute kindness of the staff, the fact that a lot of them have been working there for ten years, plus!

She loves the food! It really does look fantastic and prepared with love and care.

My mum is still quite able-bodied and always loved dancing; the staff encourage this a lot, which also ticks so many boxes for Mum’s health and well-being.

Her room has an ensuite toilet and sink, and she has a pressure mattress, which is great as she suffers from severe arthritis.

Mum has her hair done weekly; the home treats her and pays for this every other week; they really don’t skimp or scrape there. Snacks on tap, she’s maintained a good healthy weight though.

The doctor that visits the home has been great and communicates with me.

Mum’s generally looking so much better than when I was caring for her; even though I did my best, she is definitely getting better cognitive and all-round support; she’s thriving at Loran House.”

"Thank you to all the fabulous staff of Loran House who looked after my mum during her final two weeks; you bent over backwards to ensure my darling mum was as comfortable as possible and did everything possible to help her despite her being so extremely fragile.

I cannot thank you all enough for all the kind and loving care you gave to my mum and me when I lost her. You will never be forgotten, each and every member of your wonderful care home. My love to you all”

We had another wonderful session with Lion learners in the home!

They brought in some amazing animals to meet all the residents!

Everyone had such a wonderful time meeting the fuffy and scaly critters, we cannot wait for the to visit again!
