Have you ever waited weeks for a physiotherapy appointment, only to feel worse by the time you were seen?
Our Rapid Access Online Physio changes that.
You can arrange a same day video consultation with a qualified physiotherapist, without going through a GP first. Acting early means pain is managed sooner, recovery begins faster and the chances of ongoing problems are reduced.
For anyone unsure if physiotherapy is the right step, we also offer a free 20 minute online consultation. It is a chance to ask questions and understand how online physiotherapy could help.
Sports massage is more than just easing tight muscles. Whether it’s after an injury, a tough training block or as part of a rehab plan, it can provide quick relief and help prepare the body for recovery.
3 benefits of sports massage:
• Relieves tension and discomfort
• Improves circulation and healing
• Helps you move more freely
The real difference comes when massage is part of a complete programme. EMS can activate muscles, massage reduces tension, and exercises build lasting strength and mobility. Each step supports the next, creating better outcomes over time.
Every athlete wants to know why pain is holding them back.
Holly used AxIT equipment to measure this client’s strength and balance. The results highlighted key imbalances, which were then tested through real movement.
With clear data and professional guidance, rehab plans can focus on solving the cause, not just the symptoms.
What area of your sport would you like to feel stronger and more confident in?
This month, three important changes have been confirmed that every UK employer should be preparing for:
1. Sick pay reforms
The Employment Rights Bill is moving forward. Soon, Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) will:
- Be available from day one of illness, instead of after three days.
- Apply to more workers, as the earnings threshold is being removed.
- Sit alongside new day-one rights for paternity and parental leave.
More employees will qualify for support, and businesses will need to budget for earlier and broader sick pay cover. If you rely on part-time, seasonal or lower-paid staff, this is a major change.
2. NDA rules
From later this year, employers will no longer be able to use non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) to silence victims of harassment or discrimination. Any clause attempting this will be void. Prevention and culture will need to take priority. HR teams should review training and reporting processes now to make sure staff feel safe speaking up.
3. Heatwave safety
After record-breaking heat in August, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) reminded employers there is still no legal maximum workplace temperature. However, businesses must take reasonable steps to protect staff.
Practical steps include:
- Monitoring indoor heat levels.
- Providing extra breaks and cool water.
- Adjusting hours to avoid peak midday heat.
- Offering shade and sun protection for outdoor staff.
With hotter summers becoming more common, risk assessments and manager training should be updated to account for heat stress.
What this means for employers:
- Review sickness and leave policies now
- Update risk assessments to include extreme heat
- Train managers to handle wellbeing concerns
- Consider occupational health partnerships for stronger staff support
At Flex Health, we help organisations keep their teams healthy, happy and performing at their best. From physiotherapy for musculoskeletal conditions to mental health training and return-to-work planning, we are here to support you.

Struggling with balance or weakness after injury can make even the simplest movements feel daunting.
Without the right guidance, it’s easy to lose confidence in your own body. Progress can feel slow, frustrating, and uncertain.
That’s why our physiotherapists use tools like the rack to provide just the right amount of support, allowing clients to practise step-ups safely and rebuild strength step by step. With the right support, every movement is a step forward.
I've just reached 4K followers! Thank you for continuing support. I could never have made it without each and every one of you. 🙏🤗🎉

Mark’s story highlights the real impact of consistent rehabilitation.
When he first joined us at Flex Health, he couldn’t stand independently. Through structured neurological physiotherapy and ongoing support from our dedicated team, he now walks independently using the bars.
Our free weekly stroke groups, held every Friday afternoon in Hull, are designed to help people rebuild strength, confidence, and independence.
Mark’s words sum it up best: “Don’t hesitate. It is brilliant. The physios are really good people.”
