This Wednesday we are hosting East Yorkshire’s and North Lincolnshire’s first networking event centred around neurological rehabilitation.
We understood that so many professionals are working tirelessly for their patients/clients. As these patients move through the different care systems from primary, secondary and community care that naturally communication can break down.
Often these patients pass back through these systems when they have set backs or need follow ups.
Ensuring that professionals can develop relationships is vitally important for improving patient outcomes and working together more closely regardless of the setting.
Having an open forum for patients, carers, family and friends to ask questions to these professionals is important too.
So if you are a patient, a carer, charity, a friend of family, a health professional, a professional involved in neurological care we would love to have you at our event next week.
It is a free event with food and drink and plenty of opportunity to network and develop connections.

Marley’s therapy sessions are carefully designed to challenge him in fun and engaging ways. In this activity he’s picking up blocks and matching them to the right colour slots, building hand–eye coordination and fine motor skills.
To make things even more rewarding Marley is also practising sitting upright with the support of a torso brace. Combining these activities builds strength, control and independence, and Marley always gives his very best effort.

Flex Health is a Physiotherapy and health centre located at Hull University and York St John Universities. We have a large team all whom work with their own style and bring their own experiences. We specialise in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.
We focus on offering an intensive client centered approach that aims to reduce a client’s rehabilitation time using intensive rehabilitation. Flex Health provides one-on-one sessions to all its clients. The continuity through a clients rehabilitation helps with compliance and ensures the client returns in a better physical & mental state than pre injury. The overall driving force behind Flex Health is to have a clinical practice where the client has the physical confidence to return to their function in the quickest rehabilitation time possible. We strive to create a friendly environment where the client feels comfortable and safe.
The awareness and influence of Physiotherapy within modern day life is increasing and its prevalence is now becoming commonplace. Flex Health aims to give every client from any age the exposure to Physiotherapy support. Flex Health aims to maximise a clients physical qualities tailored around their individual needs as identified through subjective and objective testing procedures.
Currently, we combine our Physiotherapy expertise and cutting edge technology such as anti-gravity technology, squid ice and compression units, Compex muscle stimulation, functional electrical stimulation (FES) and a bespoke rehabilitation gym. We aim to offer the same process in partnership with York St John.
