A fantastic new play is being shown at Hull Truck in January!

The play is called Alice in Neuroland.

The play depicts a young girl who spends her life masking to try and fit in, during a day dream she wakes up in Neuroland, a world where Neurodiversity is celebrated not tolerated.

This performance gives young people a chance to shine. They are encouraged and celebrated for who they are, you may see scripts on stage, prompts scattered about or random people where they are not meant to be. But you will also see bravery, uniqueness, talent, you will definitely laugh, and i can guarantee you will cry, but most importantly you will LOVE it!

So click the link, purchase your tickets and have the best evening of your life!

An amateur performance brought to life by neurodiverse individuals.

Support will continue for Hull’s most vulnerable residents this winter and into the early spring after senior councillors agreed the use of funds aimed at helping the most vulnerable.

Cabinet members have approved proposals to boost existing schemes receiving funding via the Household Support Fund (HSF).

It means the families of over 16-thousand pupils in the city who are eligible for free school meals will receive a £15 voucher per child covering the first week of the Easter holidays.

However, ahead of changes in funding from the Government, Hull City Council is calling for clarity on the arrangements for the second week of the holidays.

Cabinet members also today agreed funding for more support for tenants as part of a wider strategy to prevent homelessness, with both Council and private tenants able to access help.

There will also be additional further support for pensioners via Age UK to provide an advice service which helps with applications for benefits such as Pension Credit.

Today is the day Trivial Pursuit was born.

Just for fun... what is the answer to the question below?

The Last Supper was painted by which artist?

Trivial Pursuit, created in 1979 by Canadians Chris Haney and Scott Abbott, became a cultural phenomenon in the 1980s, revolutionizing the board game industry with its trivia-based gameplay.
Origins and Creation
Trivial Pursuit was conceived on December 15, 1979, during a game of Scrabble between Chris Haney, a photo editor for the Montreal Gazette, and Scott Abbott, a sports journalist for The Canadian Press. They discussed the potential for a trivia game and quickly sketched out the concept, which involved answering questions from six categories. The game was developed over the next couple of years, with Haney writing many of the original 6,000 questions
