As levels of oestrogen & progesterone fall off a cliff during our menopausal years ,we can sometimes be met by flashes of anger and irritability that take us and those around us by surprise!

Sound familiar?

During the Menopause Yoga training I did with Petra Coveney this year, I was relieved and comforted to find out that this is perfectly normal for many women, and since educating myself much more on the topic, I have made a few changes that are really helping;
* Booking less meetings in my day
* Explaining 'why' to my family rather than apologising
* Lots of walking the dog
* More down time on my own
* Yoga!! of course, yoga :-)

If you are finding yourself getting a little or a lot more irritated by stuff that didn't used to affect you, then you're not alone, it's all perfectly explainable and there's probably more you can do than you might have thought - suffering isn't inevitable!

35yrs ago, a girl from wales met a boy from Croydon at Oxford Poly…..this weekend we took a trip down memory Lane, Ox Poly campus (almost unrecognisable!), Headington Hill, Div Road, Crowley Road, Rats, The New Inn, Princess Street, Regent Street, The Bear, The White Horse, The Turf, Browns, Covered Market, stayed at Malmaison which is the old prison, a bit more comfy than our student accommodation!!!
Such a fab thing to do! ❤️

Quite easy to accomplish really.
Even living alone in Lockdown, we can boost our Oxytocin by giving compliments.

It's so wonderful seeing student in-person again. We have 3 studio classes for now..
Monday guided Astanga at 9.30am
Friday Hatha at 11.30am
Saturday Mysore from 8.30am
We are doing are utmost to ensure you are safe and well cared for..so beautiful to connect again.
Online classes, recorded and pre-recorded classes are all expanding our horizons and offering you more choice.❤️🙏❤️

"On Monday 27th and Thursday 30th we are having our first kick-off meetings with the IWGB to discuss the current state of the yoga teaching industry and how we might move forwards as a collective to make positive change to our current working conditions. There will be space for teachers to share their experiences, to meet the New Branch Chair, President and General Secretary of IWGB (Independent Workers of Great Britain) and to learn what a union is, ask questions and have a say in what we want to create.

WARRIOR POSES!

Warrior poses are helpful on so many levels
- Physically they develop strength in pretty much every part of your body - feet, legs, bum, core, back, arms, shoulders...
- Mentally they require concentration and focus so you can't be thinking about anything else :-)
- Emotionally they open up the heart space (especially warrior 1 and 2) and help to cultivate a sense of strength and vulnerability at the same time

There is a reason why some poses have endured the test of time - it's because they work!
