I hope you all had a wonderful festive season. I spent a quiet evening at home with my family (minus our oldest, who was out celebrating—he’s 19 now, so that’s to be expected!) and our new puppy, LuLu—my absolute happy place! 🐾💛

Grateful for the little moments, family dinners, and the occasional family snap… minus the sleep deprivation this year, thanks to puppy settling in and Shaun having to sleep on the living room floor 🤭

This is our first New Year with little LuLu, and she’s made it extra special.

Wishing you all a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2026, filled with joy, love, and precious moments with the people (and pets!) you love most.

Little Lulu pup-date 🐾💛

After a brief cry last night, sweet Lulu settled beautifully into her crate and enjoyed a restful first night. Today we’ve started toilet training — she’s definitely more confident indoors just now (understandably, as it’s fast becoming her warm, safe space), so we’re making outdoors extra fun with encouragement, treats and lots of praise to help build her confidence 🌱✨

She’s already showing what a loving little soul she is and absolutely adores her cuddles. Indie and Kianna are completely taken with her — it’s been so special watching their bond begin 💕

I hope all of our followers have had a truly lovely festive period, however you chose to spend it ✨

Ours has been completely full-on! I didn’t manage to take many photos, as we had lots of family staying with us and plenty of catering to do. It was such a special time spent creating memories, and we are incredibly thankful for the company — especially with Mr H having been away.

We waved off our visitors this morning, and now we’re ready for more excitement… Mr H arrives home tonight, and our little Lulu joins us this afternoon 🐾💖
The excitement definitely hasn’t stopped, with Kianna in particular absolutely bursting with anticipation about her puppy today!

I blinked, the internet changed, and next thing I know I’m googling trends like a responsible adult 😂
So here I am, hopping on the bandwagon (fashionably late, obviously), fully off-duty but still serving festive energy.

So where will I likely be today?
Without my Mr
H (he’s working away), with family staying, happily catering for everyone — because I genuinely love it 🤍
Fuelled by a cheeky glass of fizz or a G&T, attempting the After Eight challenge, and calling that balance.

Christmas Day mode: activated 🎅🏼✨

Christmas Eve has always felt like the most magical day of Christmas to me 🎅🏼
That flutter of excitement, the anticipation — it takes me straight back to being a child. And this year, Kianna has been counting down the days just the same 🤍

I won’t lie, there were moments I wondered if I’d pull it all together… Indie being unwell, I had a tumble down the stairs, Mr H being away, and all the usual juggling that life throws in. But here we are… 😮‍💨

So I just wanted to take a moment to wish you all a very Merry Christmas — may it be filled with love, laughter, and a few quiet moments to breathe.

Feeling very grateful this evening 🎄🥂

Elves are for LIFE. Not just for Christmas. 🎄🧝‍♂️

I once believed the elf era would eventually fade out…
Like sleep.
Or personal space.

But thanks to my midlife crisis baby (no regrets… mostly), I’ve officially signed myself up for at least another 15 years of:
✨ nightly elf admin
✨ 2am “OH NO THE ELF” panic
✨ chaotic set-ups that make zero sense by morning
✨ explaining why the elf moved when I absolutely forgot

The elves leave in the morning… and that’s a wrap for this year.
But next year?
