A wee day off yesterday for International Nurses Day 💙

No uniform, no work stress, no mum duties for a few hours… just me and my hubby enjoying some time together in the city 🥂✨

We had the loveliest meal at riobraziliansteakhouse , thanks to our Kai who gifted us a voucher at Christmas — the perfect excuse for some quality time together ❤️

Lovely food, cocktails, lots of laughs and then a complete surprise… an eternity ring 💍❤️ Lucky lady indeed.

People mostly see me in nurse mode, but this is the other side of me too — just enjoying life, making memories and appreciating the little moments with my favourite people.

These days mean everything ❤️

International Nurses Day 💙

I completed my nurse training in 2005 and started my first Staff Nurse post in January 2006… where have those years gone?

Nursing has given me some of the best and hardest days of my life. Days that tested every ounce of strength I had, and days that completely broke me emotionally. I’ve cried with patients and their families, shared heartbreak, relief, hope and joy. I’ve experienced moments that stay with you forever.

Over the years, I’ve worked alongside some truly amazing teams who helped shape the nurse I am today.

And here I am now — working independently as a lone worker, still a proud Registered Nurse, now within the private sector. I’m incredibly passionate about what I do. No less of a nurse. I still use my clinical skills and judgement every single day, making decisions, ensuring patient safety, and always being prepared for potential complications and emergencies at any moment.

Nursing may look different for each of us, but the heart of it remains the same 💙

Proud of these two for smashing the 5K Pretty Muddy Race for Life and raising an amazing £330 👏💖

What a lovely day it was — mud, sunshine, giggles and plenty of fun, all for such a great cause ☀️🫶🧡

Earlier today, a huge £146,000 had already been raised, and I’m sure that total will keep growing. Well done to everyone involved — every step, splash and smile makes a difference 💪✨

“Great results start long before the treatment itself.”

One of the most important parts of my role as an aesthetic nurse is consultation.

A good consultation is not about “selling” treatment — it’s about understanding the patient in front of you:
• their concerns
• their medical history
• their expectations
• their lifestyle
• and whether treatment is even appropriate in the first place.

Some patients attend clinic thinking they need one treatment, only for us to discover another option may be safer, more suitable, or more effective for their goals.

Sometimes the right decision is to delay treatment altogether.

As a nurse-led clinic, patient safety, informed consent, and realistic outcomes will always come before trends or quick fixes.

The best aesthetic results are often the ones that look natural, balanced, and respectful of the individual — and achieving that starts with careful assessment and honest conversations.

I’m proud to continue building a clinic environment where patients feel listened to, informed, and supported throughout their journey.

My heart is absolutely bursting 🤍

Our beautiful baby niece Violet made an early arrival into the world, weighing just 3lb 13oz. After an initial drop, she’s now fought her way back to that weight again — already showing just how strong she is.

Photos really don’t capture just how teeny she is… but she is absolutely perfect. So tiny, so precious, and completely adorable 🥰

Small but mighty, just like her mum — my baby sister.

We’re all so in love already 🤍✨
