Position Overview:
Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? We're searching for dedicated Community Support Workers to join our Gentle Hands Care family in the Fife Area. In this role, you'll not only develop individualised care plans and provide essential support, but you'll also embrace our core values of care with love and compassion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Delivering Care with Love & Compassion: Embrace our core value by providing care that goes beyond the ordinary.
• Craft Care Plans with Heart: Develop individualised care plans for clients, showing empathy and a client-centred approach.
• Teamwork & Seamless Scheduling: Provide team support & rota management, ensuring smooth operations.
• Empower and Uplift: Offer essential care support independently in the community, creating a safe, comfortable, and inclusive environment.
• Collaboration is Key: Work hand-in-hand with the healthcare team to address changing client needs.
• Communicate and Connect: Keep accurate records of care provided and progress, while building strong relationships with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Leadership and Guidance: Oversee designated service operations, including staff schedules and record-keeping.
• Inspire Growth: Lead and support staff in delivering service and crafting, implementing, and reviewing support plans.
• Lifelong Learning: Identify staff training needs and contribute to learning and development activities.
• Person-Centred Care: Facilitate Person-Centred Planning when required and maintain effective communication within the service.
• Be There, always: Work shifts as agreed upon, providing direct support to individuals and exploring community opportunities.
• Connect with Care: Maintain open communication with families and stakeholders, ensuring they are regularly updated on changes and progress through reviews and reports.
Minimum Requirements:
• Heart-Driven: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Carers: Certified in Care SVQ 3 or equivalent UK qualification.
• Experience Matters: Minimum of 3 years of substantial experience as a Care Assistant or in a similar role.
• Problem-Solving Pro: Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• On the Move: Full Valid UK driver’s License with access to a car.
Additional Information:
• All employees will be expected to apply for and maintain their Registration with
• the SSSC at the appropriate time, as specified by the SSSC, and to ensure they comply with the SSSC Code of Conduct.
• Prior to any unconditional offer of employment being made Gentle Hands requires to have the following compliances satisfied:
• Two satisfactory references
• Satisfactory PVG certificate
• Compliance with Asylum and Immigration Act 1996
• Satisfactory medical clearance
• Qualification/SSSC registration (if applicable).
