๐ฟ Why Massage Matters - More Than Just Relaxation ๐ฟ
Happy Friday! I just read a really great article in The Guardian about how massage isnโt just a luxury - itโs actually good for your health. ๏ฟผ
Here are a few of the big take-homes that made me smile:
โข Massage doesnโt just feel nice - it helps with pain, anxiety, fatigue, and even sleep. ๏ฟผ
โข Thereโs real science behind it. Studies (even in hospitals) show massage supports people with chronic conditions, like cancer or long-term pain, by lowering tension and improving emotional well-being. ๏ฟผ
โข On a physical level, massage increases blood flow, improves vascular function, and may help your body feel better as a whole.
๏ฟผ
โข Emotionally, it triggers endorphins (your bodyโs own feel-good chemicals), which makes you feel calmer and more resilient. ๏ฟผ
โข Itโs not just for people who are ill - everybody could benefit, especially those who donโt often get caring, therapeutic touch. ๏ฟผ
โข Even if full massage sessions are a stretch, self-massage or simple โtherapeutic touchโ can make a real difference. ๏ฟผ

๐โโ๏ธ My two pence as a mobile therapist in Orkney:
I love offering regular massage because itโs not just โme-timeโ - itโs a well-being investment. Whether youโre dealing with stress, chronic aches, or just need to feel more grounded - Iโm here to help.
If youโve been thinking about booking in, why not drop me a message? Letโs figure out what could really help for you.
P.S. availability is very limited until the second week of December while Iโm away studying but Iโll have space for new regular appointments after that.
Take care,
