Pelsis has achieved another milestone, passing audits to become both FSC® and PEFC certified (FSC-C194619 and PEFC/16-37-2624) at the Knaresborough and Newport sites, allowing the business to sell products certified to the highest forestry standards from both plants.

While both sites were already FSC certified and renewing their certification, these audit results mean that Knaresborough and Newport are now compliant against both standards for the first time.

Achieving these two sustainable forestry certifications means we can demonstrate to the highest level that the products we sell use only sustainably harvested wood from reputable sources, which is key in an increasingly strict regulatory market.

FSC and PEFC are separate organisations with similar aims, focussing on different parts of the supply chain, from sustainably managed sources through to full traceability from tree to shelf.
