Please could everyone share far and wide so we can get the premises to help support more young people and their families that need our support, thank you in advance
Looking for a farm in south Manchester, Stockport, Tameside, etc, or Warrington or Cheshire East area, ideally nearer the Manchester end (Wilmslow, styal, Macclesfield, Lymm, etc) as many acres as possible but minimum 10 acres if well drained land, ideally 30 acres or more, no upper limit. Ability to live on site needed, either a house on site or permission to put a static caravan on site. Electric and running water or ability to put that in a must. Stables/ barns/ outbuildings and arena and bonus however not a necessity if I can put temporary stables/ shelters in. Would be for equine facilitated learning with children with mental health needs and additional needs and I am a registered provider with cheshire east council. A little about what we do and who we are- Enpowering Equine CIC is a community interest company that provides equine facilitated learning (EFL) and alternative provision to children with social, emotional and mental health needs, neurodiverse children, children struggling with life changes/ difficult situations, children struggling to access education and cared for/ adopted children. EFL helps children and young people build social and emotional skills, develop self awareness and improve mental health and well-being. We work with both children and animals in a consent based, force free manner building a positive relationship between the practitioner, young people and the horses. In our new premises we would also be looking to add forestry school, drama and the arts and expand the animals within our provision (more horses, dogs, sheep, etc) and provide space for therapy and tutoring on site so children can have more of their own educational and therapeutic needs met on site.
