⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE - CLOSURE πŸ›‘

I’m sorry to be bringing you this news however I have made the very difficult decision to close down my self-employed business. I have been full time at Calder Vets as a Vet Physio for a few months now and am finding it too difficult to juggle my own mobile business in addition to this. I’m happy that I am developing my career by specialising at a clinic however this decision is a very bitter-sweet one for me.

My last availability to see current patients will be prior to the 30th December - as that is when my insurance for self-employed work will expire. Due to my already busy schedule, I cannot take on any new patients.

I don’t know what will happen in the future, but I may be back one day!

Again, I’m so sorry about this but I hope you can understand.

Don’t be a stranger!

Let's start the week of with this - If short of time and you're wanting to ride in the arena, just warm up your horse instead of the main body of work!

In a rushed/limited time situation, NEVER skip the warm up. Instead, forget about the main body of work you had planned and focus on a 10-20 minute warm-up routine. Generally speaking, a good warm up includes direct transitions, a looser contact and larger circles. Why not have a go at completing a different transition each time you meet a dressage marker in the arena when you next warm-up, as well as some 20 m figure of eights, using up the WHOLE arena. Generally, horses of all ages and levels would benefit from that. πŸ’ͺ

A few weeks ago I completed 4 practical days for my K9HS L3 Certificate in Canine Hydrotherapy at Active Balance Veterinary Physiotherapy & Behaviour Solutions. (Because... you never stop learning!). I was able to learn and practice with so many fabulous dogs, including their very own "Active" pictured with me here! 🐢

Thank you to Maria for being so welcoming, teaching me lots and for letting me post your lovely "Active" on here! 😁

The lovely little Rudy enjoyed his maintenance physiotherapy session a few weeks ago🐴. I am available for more patients to be registered with myself for veterinary physiotherapy, which can optimise rehabilitation AND maintenance patients. Just DM me "PHYSIO" if you're wanting your horse or dog feeling their VERY best with veterinary physiotherapy.

How handsome is Jimmy, doesn't he have the kindest eyes? 😍 I visited Jimmy a few weeks ago for veterinary physiotherapy, to help him feel more comfortable after having a field accident.

I do have availability for new patients to be registered with myself for Veterinary Physiotherapy, just DM me "VP" and I can tell you how veterinary physiotherapy can help your horse or dog, as well as how to register with me!

Happy Easter! 🐣 I hope my friends and clients have an enjoyable long weekend with their special four-legged friends. Try to take this time to be present and relish your pets. There is no rush, take time to breathe and slow down. I've been reminiscing photos of Tilly since she sadly passed away a few weeks ago (this πŸ“Έ was taken last summer). Which leads me to say first hand - I WISH I SPENT LESS TIME RUSHING! The last year or so I have been incredibly busy juggling a masters, a full time job, my own pets, etc... this pains me so much because I never expected Tilly to leave us so soon, I wish I slowed down more often when I was with her. I miss her so much. I even miss every night check between 9-10 pm for the past god knows how many years, she would always come up to me nuzzling her nose on me for a scratch.

Whilst on the subject of Tilly, I also wanted to say thank you to all of my clients I have seen these last few weeks. Not only has it been incredibly comforting treating your horses, but you have also been so kind to me. Thank you ❀️
