First time stepping back into a rugby environment after a few years away since the end of my playing days

Have missed the game massively, but always said I wouldn’t coach when I was a player

A few things changed my mind:
- giving back to my home club and get boys enjoying their rugby
- chance to work alongside one of my best mates
- follow in my dads footsteps after he coached the club in its 100th year, by coaching club in its 150th year
- opportunity to do and create something special

Grateful for the unreal group of blokes that bought into what 2 inexperienced rugby coaches were trying to achieve and haven’t missed a beat all year

You get out what you put in - 10 months hard work and rewarded with being crowned champions

Proud to be shortlisted!

Buzzing to share that LYFT Club has made the shortlist for the Wales Rural Start-Up of the Year at the StartUp Awards!

Starting a business in rural Wales has its challenges, but it’s also something I’m really proud of. I want LYFT Club to not only make fitness more accessible but also support rural communities and show that great businesses can grow anywhere—not just in big cities.

This shortlist means a lot, and I’m grateful for everyone who’s supported LYFT Club so far. Excited to see where this journey goes next!

When my rugby career started winding down, I lost my ‘why’ for training. For years, every session had a purpose—become a better player, stay sharp, keep pushing. But when that chapter closed, I fell completely off the wagon. No structure. No motivation. I let my health slide, both physically and mentally.

Like so many, I looked for escape instead of solutions. It’s crazy how easy it is to drift away from the things that once made you feel strong. But eventually, I knew I had to make a change. I wanted to get back into training, not just for performance, but for myself.

That’s when I hit another wall—finding trusted support was way harder than it should be. Endless scrolling, sketchy advice, overpriced plans… nothing felt right. If I was struggling—with my background in fitness and sport—how many others were in the same boat?

That frustration turned into an idea. What if there was a one-stop platform to connect people with verified, quality coaches—from PTs to nutritionists to specialists? A place where finding the right support was easy and reliable?

And that’s how LYFT Club was born. Love Your Fitness Training—because I know firsthand how much better life is when you find movement you love and the right people to guide you.

If you’ve ever felt lost in your fitness journey, I see you. And I’ve got you. Let’s build something special. 🫶💪

Are you pushing yourself too hard in the gym?

While progressive overload is key to building strength and muscle, too much can lead to overtraining—where your body doesn’t have enough time to recover.

In this carousel, we’re diving into the signs, effects, and how to avoid both overtraining and overloading your system.

Remember: Progressive overload should be gradual, and rest is just as important as your workouts. When you find the right balance between challenging your body and allowing it to recover, that’s when you’ll see real progress.

Have you ever pushed yourself too far? Let us know your experience with overload or overtraining in the comments! 👇

To get stronger, fitter, and faster, you’ve got to challenge your body

The Overload Principle is the key to growth: consistently increasing weight, reps, or intensity so your muscles have a reason to adapt.

No progress = no gains, so don’t be afraid to push your limits (safely)!

Finding a good coach or personal trainer can help you unlock the overload principle in your training and reach your goals.

Ready to start applying overload in your workouts? Let’s level up - coaches on LYFT Club are ready to support you.

Fantastic seeing LYFT Club in after the charity ‘24 Workouts in 24 Hours’ launch event in December, where we managed to raise an incredible amount of £3000 for

Thank you so much to all the coaches who programmed the workouts, the sponsors of each workout, and everyone who joined in and donated.

The money will go towards helping the look after our rural and farming communities, and hopefully the event will encourage more farmers to and to be more aware of their need for physical activity with the increasing mechanisation of the industry

Physical activity plays a huge role in developing a positive mental well being and overall health, and LYFT Club aims to make it as easy as possible for people to get moving with the support they need, no matter what your health and fitness goals are!

Thank you very much for the write up
