💙🐾Chunky Comfort 🐾💙

Another cosy jumper for Wizard on the needles and this one is giving all the winter vibes ❄️ despite the weather being really spring like this week in the UK 😄

I’m using Marble Chunky yarn (kindly gifted by my mum 💕 & bought from of course), and I just love how the colours knit up with that marbled effect meaning zero effort & maximum impact!

The pattern is Knits & Pieces by Sandra Polley, which I’ve used quite a few times now. It’s one of those go-to patterns as it’s straightforward, reliable, and finished with lovely garter stitch edges 👌

This one’s already shaping up to be a proper snuggly number… although Wizards not too happy trying it on as he’d rather be outside snoozing in the sun ☀️

🧡Mission : Completed 🧡

What a blast I’ve had knitting with Rocket DK 🚀💥

This is first ever yarn & I was gifted some to try - what a lucky gal I am ☺️

The colour changes in shade 59230 are beautifully balanced, moving through warm sunset tones into those zingy brights creating a striped effect with zero effort. Watching it build row by row felt like a little countdown every time I picked it up.😄

It’s a soft DK with lovely smooth stitch definition too, which makes simple stocking stitch the perfect choice. No need for a complicated pattern when the yarn is this gorgeous 🧡

Safe to say this yarn has launched straight into my favourites. 🚀✨

❤️Holding on, stitch by stitch ❤️

Sorry for being a bit quiet on here lately, life has very much been happening behind the scenes, especially family stuff 😢
Yesterday my dad was diagnosed with bowel cancer, which came as a huge shock to us all. It feels like the last few weeks have been a blur of tears, heavy news, and that sense of everything piling up with no real pause.😫

Today I’m heading over to see Mum and Dad as it’s my niece’s 14th birthday, so we’re having a small family celebration. And tomorrow we’re off to Blackpool Sandcastle to take her on the enormous slides (pray for me 😅).
I’m grateful for these little pockets of distraction, a brief chance to laugh, breathe, and take our minds off things, even if just for a while.

Knitting has been a quiet comfort through it all 💛

💗Granny Stitch Glow up💗

Whilst I’ve been battling a few technical gremlins with my phone, I’ve been busy behind the scenes upgrading my How To pattern guide for the granny stitch bandana.
I couldn’t resist making one for me and Wizard 🐾
Both are worked in Supreme Cotton Love DK, using Raspberry as the main colour, edged with Antique Gold then finished with a neat press stud fastening at the back of the neck for an easy, comfy fit.
Ease is everything right? 😉

Anyway it’s been good to slow down, have less screen time & more yarn n hooky time 😃

My health and family probs still continue but I’m trying to stay positive & supportive to all☺️

🚀 Misson: Knit! 🚀

Last week I popped into my local yarn shop, (basically my second home 😄), and came away with some high octane yarn joy in the form of their brand new, own brand yarn, Rocket DK 🚀

I haven’t worked with super bright colours for a while, so I went full lift off with shade 59230 Tropical, vibrant self-striping bursts of orange, yellow, jade, lilac and pink.🚀

I’m using an easy knit pattern, and for the first time I’m trying a pattern that incorporates the sleeves at the same time. No separate parts, no delays… I’m on a direct flight to stitch and colour heaven! 🚀

Safe to say this project has well and truly taken off and I’m enjoying every stitch of the journey 🚀

My Flair Chunky sweater is officially off the needles and I couldn’t love it more. Light as air, beautifully warm, and full of movement, it’s hard to believe this is a chunky yarn 🥰

I’ve leaned fully into my love of matchiness with these gorgeous coordinating earrings by Kerry of .clay , the colours couldn’t be more perfect 💙💜
