Starting to make my way back from a fantastic (but exhausting!) EACD conference in Heidelberg, Germany. Shared a *tiny* amount of my PhD data on HIE feeding outcomes with a very interested audience. Still working on the parent interviews/qualitative analysis, can't wait to share all the integrated findings with you!

It's race day! Am I prepared?

Physically: More so than last year at least.

Mentally: Haven't had time to think about it really, just going to rock up and hope for the best!

Practically: Apparently not at all! No safety pins for my race number (same as last year 🙈), plus realised at 9.30pm last night all that stuff in my drawer is actually winter kit and none of my summer running kit is clean 😂 Emergency load of washing done ✅

I have so much to tell you all!
There is still more analysis to do, particularly for the *many* hours of incredible parent interview data, but here is a sneak peak of some findings from the questionnaire study. Thank you so much to .hie and the Peeps parents for their support with study design and recruitment, and of course huge thank you to the participants themselves, who were so generous with their time and their stories.
Plenty more findings to come, I'll keep you posted!

It's H.I.E Awareness Day! Obviously this means that Kathleen and I had to do a very hilly training run in the sun (and wind!) We're running the Manchester 10K to raise money for .hie, all donations gratefully received (link in the comments).
We were pretty worn out after this run, but fortunately I had a feeding therapy session with a wonderful .hie family earlier today and they brought doughnuts 🥳 Best doughnuts ever, and just what I needed 🥰 Thank you so much, lovely people (you know who you are ❤️)
I also have some research results to share with you! There will be some posts about those this evening.
(Sorry , I forgot to mention the doughnuts... 😂 There's still some left if you want to pop back!)
