The Full Moon in Pisces on 17 September is a partial lunar eclipse. It falls at 25˚ Pisces, forming a conjunction to Neptune which is currently retrograde at 28˚ Pisces.
As Neptune is the ruler of Pisces, this connection deepens the Piscean influence and makes this Full Moon a very significant one.
Themes around ideas, dreams, creative expression, confusion and indecisiveness will be important at this time. This Full Moon Eclipse asks us to look deeper at our emotional connections and our spiritual desires. Does our day to day life connect to our soul path and our spiritual ambitions effectively?
Are we making enough time in our schedules to enjoy music, art, nature and other activities which nourish our souls and develop our connections to our higher selves.
Meditation, yoga, Tai Chi, Chi Gung and other gentle practises are extremely beneficial at this time also.
Eclipses can be about endings, that recognition of loss, or change before we feel ready to start anew and change direction.
When asked to consider endings in respect of Pisces, we may find ourselves reflecting on soulmate connections, particularly in situations where we are estranged from someone we love, or working on manifesting a relationship in the future.
For those manifesting love or resolving heartache this is a great time to reflect and meditate on love. Cleansing sage rituals and candle gazing with the accompaniment of uplifting music can be healing and purifying.
Automatic writing (such as is demonstrated in Neale Donald Walsh’s ‘Conversations with God’ book 1) can be incredibly insightful. Remember we ALL have a deep connection to wisdom and a higher self, so the potential to channel clear responses to our own questions is profoundly possible for us all.
Another important factor of this Full Moon in Pisces is that it is the FINAL Full Moon in Pisces whilst Neptune is in Pisces during our lives! So this Full Moon eclipse conjunct Neptune is very very auspicious.
Any changes which Neptune has brought to us since it moved into Pisces in 2011 will gain prominence during this Full Moon. For musicians and music fans the state of music in the Western World will come to mind immediately. Perhaps this full moon is good time to deeply consider the importance of music and creativity and observe the impact the neglect of these areas has had upon society in recent years.
Many of us Astrologers believed Neptune in Pisces would enhance the arts and whilst it has shown a rise in the understanding of mental health, the benefits of meditation and brought distance healing and reiki into the mainstream, there is no doubt music has suffered.
So, perhaps energy of this full moon to reflect upon the link between music and mental health. Perhaps it will help people to realise that soul love is so much more nourishing and fulfilling than material compatibility. Maybe we can start recognising that we are what we eat and with our bodies being more 2/3 water, our cells imprint everything we experience. Just like water does.
Happy full Moon Eclipse in Pisces conjunct Neptune! I look forward to hearing your views on it all!
