Hey guys, just a wee reminder that I have a limited number of one 2 one personal training slots available, and there is a space in the Monday and Wednesday 6am small group, and one space in the Tuesday and Thursday evening small group also.

If you have any questions regarding any of my services, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

I also have online and hybrid options available, if that suits your work and family life better.

You're worth the effort for yourself 💙

Why is it so easy to show up for your job, your friends, and your family, but so easy to neglect yourself?

​We may think that changing our lives is just about fixing a broken version of ourselves, but a lot of the time it isn't, It’s about finally giving ourselves the same level of care and commitment, we give everyone else.

You don’t need to see everything right now, all you need to do is take the first step.

​Imagine six months from now, you could be a completely different person. Stronger, more confident, and finally broke free from the slump you have found yourself in this last load of months or years. Or you could just be exactly where you are right now, if not worse, the choice is always ours.

Has the time come, where your own health and wellbeing comes first, because not only does it make you a better person, but everyone around you benefits from the better version of you.

No one can make that decision, and take that first step for you. 💪

When you hear people say there are dreading hitting them big age milestones, 40,50,60

I was asked if I’m sad about turning 40 this year? My answer was simple. "How could I be?"

​I spent years, from a teenager until I was 30, wasting my life. I was living in so much self destruction, that I was never even able to see any kind of potential i had. For a long time, I honestly didnt have any hope at all, I was hopeless.

Today, I’m living proof that your past doesn’t define your future. With God as my foundation, my family as my "why," and fitness as my therapy, I am living my best days right now.

I live everyday, knowing there is someone much bigger than me directing my steps. The hope, that was non existent before, is now the compass that directs my path, through Christ.

​The locusts took the early years, but the harvest is happening now.

Joel 2:25 I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten.

If you find yourself stuck, and you can't seem to find a way out, always remember you are just one decision away from creating a whole new life for yourself.

Nothing changes, unless you do, and it all starts with the first step 💙

Plans change. The work doesn't 🏃💪😅

​So yesterday, the race we where to run in ballycastle unfortunately was cancelled, due to bad ice. I don't even think it was 10 minutes after the email was sent out, before Lorraine and I had a full Hyrox SIM planned at Wolfpack gym lol (my first by the way)

The carb loading from last couple days had to be used somewhere, I suppose, and I needed threw in at the deep end to see what all the fuss was about 😂

​The point I'm wanting to make today is, our fitness is a tool we can use whenever and however we need it, that's the beauty of it. I always say to clients, "if your training in the gym doesn't help you out in your everyday life, then your missing the bigger picture."

This might be an extreme example today, but it shows that training, and working on yourself, has you able to adapt to whatever challenges our in front of you.

Hyrox is definitely a different kind of "suffering" compared to a trail marathon, the managing your effort, staying calm when your heart rate spikes, and pushing on when your legs want to quit, is a completely different shock to the system (Oh and they will want to quit) 😂

Thankfully I have a seasoned hyrox partner, who I'm able to learn from,, as we work towards our event, thank you Lorraine Lomas I think I've definitely got the buzz now 🙈💪

​Today was just about proving to myself that I have the engine for whatever challenge is put in front of me (I'm no spring chicken, big 40 this year lol) and learning everything I can about Hyrox in the process, not just for me but for clients too ❤️

Do you know the number 1 reason why people quit their fitness journey?

It's because they think everything has to be perfect in order to get results.

​I was speaking to someone recently who was stressing, because she could only commit to 2 sessions a week. She thought I would tell her that it wasn't enough, but heres the thing, every person's life is different, and starting to add something new into your week, takes planning and commitment.

​Here’s what I actually said: 'Great, just make them two hours count, and when combined with nutrition, sleep and hydration, you can still get to where you want to be'

​Understanding a client’s needs means realising that fitness has to fit into your life, not become a second job. If your trainer doesn't ask about your stress levels, your sleep, or your 'hell weeks' at work, they aren't training you, they are training a robot.

There is so much more to your journey, than how many sessions you do in the gym. You can always find something that works for you, and let's be real, what is the the other option? Sitting on your arse doing nothing, that is definitely where you don't want to be 💪

​Stop worrying about 'perfection' and just find something that works for you, and fits into your week without causing you stress, and making you imbalanced, as that's doing the opposite of what training is supposed to do for you.

The old chestnut of "I’m not fit enough to start yet."

How many times I've heard people say "I need to get fitter or lose such and such amount of weight before starting the gym" Its a crazy way of thinking, it’s like saying "I’m too dirty to take a shower." 🚿

​My job isn't to train athletes, it's to help ordinary, everyday people who have fell into a rut and let themselves go a bit, or are going through tough challenges in life that's causing havoc with their mental health, or who generally just want to look and feel better in themselves.

My job is to get you results that are going to get your life back on track, and have you feeling your best again physically and mentally.

​What's stopping you isn't your fitness level, it's the fear of the unknown. ​Trust me, I won't make you do 100 burpees on day one. No you don't have to give up carbs, and
​yess we start exactly where you are right now.

Unfortunately, time waits around for no one, and it's on us to make the tough decisions, of how we are going to live our lives.

In ten years time, when you look back on your life, will you be happy with the way you are living your life now?

Personal trainer by trade, follower of Christ by grace.

Most of you will know, I spend most of my week in the gym or out running, but something you maybe don't know about me is, my foundation is built on something much more solid than these things ✝️

​Sharing my testimony again this morning reminded me, that while I love being a personal trainer, and a runner, my identity isn't found in my job title or the sport I compete in, it’s found in Christ.

It reminded me, our physical health is important, but our spiritual health is much more important, in fact there is nothing more important. Its always an honor to be able to share my story and give all the glory to God for where I am today.

​1 Timothy 4:8 "For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come."

I will always proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord, and I know that the Holy Spirit of God will continue to do a work in me until His glorious return.

I have been having a few chats with clients recently about their life changing wins, and its always emotional for me.

Sometimes people don't actually see how far they have come, as they stay so distracted and focused with where they want to be.

Just talking through with people and pointing out the wins in their life, and even just reminding them of their starting point can completely blow their minds, and in turn give them a fresh motivation moving forward.

Imagine telling the you from last year, where you would be right now 😊

​Think about the version of you that was nervous to start, who didn't think they had the time, or who doubted they could stay consistent, and then loook at you now, you’ve proven that version of yourself wrong a thousand times over.

​Progress isn’t always a straight line, but every time you show up, you are one step closer to the person you want to become.

​Don't stop now, the "future you" is waiting to see what else you can do 💪
