Hay fever driving you mad right now?

So many of you are back in clinic for allergy support (which is amazing 🙌), but I keep getting asked…

“What can I do at home?”

Here are 3 simple acupressure points you can use right now:

✨ Bladder 2 – right at the inner edge of your eyebrows
✨ Bitong – just off the bridge of your nose (yes… sounds like biltong 😂)
✨ LI20 – either side of your nose, in that little dip

👉 Massage each point for about 30 seconds
👉 Use pressure, small circles… whatever feels good
👉 Repeat when symptoms flare up

These simple techniques can really help ease congestion and calm those allergy symptoms

And remember…
If symptoms are strong or not shifting, go and see your acupuncturist for proper support 🤍

I am super excited to say I now have stock of Magnesium Butter in clinic 🙌

The reason I decided to stock this is simple:

Firstly, a small amount rubbed into my feet at night genuinely helps me sleep so much better.

Secondly, as many of you know, hubby had an operation and since then his ankle has been incredibly painful. This has relieved his pain so much — it’s been amazing to see the difference.

And finally, I love supporting local. Claire is local and makes everything from scratch, so you know you’re getting quality, care and integrity in every jar and with the Lavender it smells divine.

Stress doesn’t always look dramatic.

Sometimes it looks like tight shoulders.
Waking at 3am.
Feeling “fine”… but not quite yourself.

Your body whispers before it screams.

You don’t have to wait for burnout to deserve support.

Happy Chinese New Year

The Year of the Fire Horse is traditionally associated with energy, activity, and forward movement, a good reminder of how important it is to look after yourself so you can keep doing the things that matter most.

In busy lives, it’s easy to ignore early signs of stress, fatigue, poor sleep, or tension. Taking time for self-care isn’t a luxury — it’s part of maintaining your physical and mental wellbeing.

Acupuncture can support this by helping to:• Reduce stress and calm the nervous system• Improve sleep quality• Ease muscle tension and pain• Support overall wellbeing and resilience

The new year is a natural point to reset routines, prioritise your health, and put simple foundations in place that help you feel your best.

Wishing all my patients and community a healthy and balanced year ahead.

This pretty much sums me up.
Acupuncturist. Community care. Research + teaching.
Holding space for people, listening deeply, and doing the work that matters.

And obviously — family comes first 💛
Grounded by the people I love, and supported daily by a blue Frenchie and a Boxer 🐶

People don’t come to acupuncture because they’re fine.

They come because something doesn’t feel right, pain, stress, overwhelm, exhaustion, often after being told everything looks “normal.”

Acupuncture matters because it treats the whole person, not just a symptom.
It creates space for the nervous system to settle, the body to rebalance, and people to feel heard again.

This is why I do what I do 🤍

Amazing feedback like this truly means the world to me.
I love hearing these stories of how acupuncture helps patients manage complex, long-term conditions like fibromyalgia.

Fibromyalgia is also something I live with myself, which is what led me to train in acupuncture. I’ve experienced the benefits first-hand, so supporting others on their journey is incredibly meaningful to me.

Thank you for the trust 🤍

As you all know, I love my jacket potatoes from
After Christmas in SA — where I didn’t get my jacket spud fix once, it was absolutely non-negotiable today.

First stop (obviously):
My go-to every time: garlic butter & cheese 🤤

Sorry to my patients if I smell a bit garlicky today… it was worth it

’Twas the night before work restarted…

After rest, reflection, family time and a little sunshine, the clinic doors open again tomorrow.
I’m returning with fresh energy, an open heart, and deep gratitude for the work I get to do.

Ready to listen, hold space, and support you all gently.
Here’s to a calm start back ✨
