Last year, we had the honour of arranging a very different funeral service, personalised to meet the deceased's every wish, to have a guard of honour by members of his re-enactment group.
This year on his anniversary, the family and members of his group fulfilled his wishes and took his ashes to Belgium, to be fired from a volley of muskets across the battlefield of Waterloo.

Andy - Funeral Director, started working for Dignity during the lockdown period of Covid and then became a Funeral Director. He has now served over 300 families during their time in need. Andy has completed an apprenticeship in Funeral Directorship to ensure he can provide the best knowledge to families he supports.

Claire - Funeral Arranger, started working for Dignity in early 2023 and completed an apprenticeship in arranging funeral services to ensure that her move from a Care background provided families with the information necessary to enable them to make choices for their loved ones.

Both Andy & Claire, are very passionate about the work and care they provide to their families and provide any support necessary whether that be short term, or long term.

Whilst our office may be closed over the Bank Holiday, our team are still available 24 hours a day to assist you.

Our sister branch Denison's Funeral Directors in Guiseley will be open on Monday the 5th May, from 9am to 5pm should you need them, and we will be back open on Tuesday 6th at 9am.

The month of May is Mental Health Awareness Month.

1 in 5. The number of people who will be affected by mental illness every year. It could be the person sat next to you, a relative you live with, a friend, or even you.

Whether this illness is your fight, or someone you love and care about, you too are affected by knowing and loving and caring for someone who is struggling with their fight.

There is no shame in mental health, please don't let it become a point of no return. Instead, this is a challenge in time you will overcome and become part of your life story.
