🌟 Meet Michaela O'Brien – Home Manager at Upland Manor Care Home 🌟

We’re delighted to welcome Michaela O'Brien as the newly appointed Home Manager at Upland Manor Care Home, opening October 2025 in Wythenshawe.

With over 20 years of experience in the care sector, Michaela’s journey began as a Care Assistant and quickly progressed through leadership roles, including Team Leader, Deputy Manager, and Home Manager – a position she has proudly held for the past 15 years.

Most recently, Michaela led with distinction at Ashlands Manor (New Care), earning a reputation for compassionate leadership and exceptional standards in care. She’s now excited to bring that same passion and excellence to Upland Manor, a brand-new, purpose-built home under the Lovett Care family.

🗣 Michaela shared:
“The most rewarding part of being a Home Manager is seeing the difference the team makes to the residents living in the home. I’m excited to build a positive culture at Upland Manor and support a new team in providing the very best care.”

🧩 Cheadle Manor x St Ann’s Hospice Collaboration 🧩

When our friends at St Ann’s Hospice reached out for help checking donated jigsaws, our amazing residents and team jumped at the chance to support such a meaningful cause 💙

Over cups of tea, shared stories, and a lot of laughs, we’ve been busy piecing together puzzles of all sizes – the 500-piece was completed in just one day! 🎉 The 1000-piece took a little longer, but the sense of achievement (and teamwork!) made it so worthwhile.
These completed puzzles will now go on to raise vital funds for St Ann’s Hospice – and we couldn’t be prouder to play a part 💕 It’s been more than just a fun activity – it’s brought joy, purpose, and connection to our residents, families, and staff.

🎶 Brass Band Bonanza at Adel Manor! 🎺

What a treat for everyone at Adel Manor Care Centre this weekend! Our residents were thoroughly entertained by the wonderful and inspiring Guiseley Brass Band.

They certainly raised the roof and brought huge smiles all around! 🥁🎼 It was a fantastic afternoon filled with great music and joyful moments.

🌊 Seaside Smiles with Adel Manor! 🎣🍟

Another wonderful day at the coast for our Adel Manor residents! From the fresh sea breeze to cracking fish and chips and a go on the good old slot machines 🎰— it was seaside fun at its finest.

These special days out bring back fond memories and create new ones too. Life’s a beach when you’re with great company!

Residents enjoyed a fabulous BBQ feast 🍖, complete with a mouth-watering spread and fantastic live entertainment. Not bad for a Tuesday, right?

🐾 Alpaca Therapy at Adel Manor 🦙✨

What a wonderful afternoon at Adel Manor Care Centre! Residents were treated to a special visit from two stunning alpacas – a truly heartwarming experience. 🥰

The gentle nature of these beautiful animals brought smiles, laughter, and a sense of calm to everyone. Pet therapy at its finest! 💛

We’ve been serving up smiles at Adel Manor Care Centre with our Wimbledon-themed festivities! From a lively Wimbledon quiz to delicious strawberries & cream, freshly baked scones, and a refreshing glass of Pimm’s, it's been a smashing time for residents and staff alike. 🍓☀️

Plus, our brand new table tennis setup is proving to be a real hit – keeping spirits high and everyone active!
