Casareese pasta with prawns and broccoli in a garlic mascarpone sauce, topped with parmigiano Regis ocheese 🧀 of course 😆 🤤. This is a pasta to try 😋 it holds the sauce well and has a great taste.

All pastas are NOT the same!

Ingredients ⬇️
80g pasta
100g prawns
80g broccoli
30ml double cream
30g mascarpone
1 spring onion
1 shallot
2 cloves of garlic
Stock to keep to desired consistency 😋
Method
Dice the onions and garlic, prep the broccoli by trimming into smaller sizes and slicing stalks.
Cook the pasta in boiling water as instructed on the back of your packet.
While your pasta is cooking start by sautéing the onions, garlic and prawns, cook for 3-4mins.
Add broccoli and double cream and mascarpone, mix and simmer gently as it slowly thickens, don’t boil.
Add pasta into the sauce, season with salt and pepper. Add chopped chives and chopped parsley.
When desired thickness is achieved serve straight away with grated hard cheese.

This was a nice day out! Recovering from a few life changing events 😥. I believe it’s still important to provide activities for the children during recovery. This event was perfect thanks to post and suggestion, my son’s favourite song is Row row your boat 😂. He was shocked we actually were rowing. I felt super pressured to preform 😆 my 10 year old told me to go faster. Because some dad past us like an Olympic rower 😂

Spicy turkey burgers with tomato relish and truffle mayonnaise.

Turkey burgers are a way to reduce your red meat intake. The quick homemade tomato relish recipe is in a previous post with the cheese board. I will add it to my story’s to make it easier 😃

Tip: don’t use the same amount of spice you would use with red meat. It will be super 🥵 hot!

Ingredients:
Turkey mince 500g
1 Fine diced banana shallot
One egg
Breadcrumbs to bind
5G mixed herbs
Salt and pepper
Pinch of chilly flakes

Summer time chicken thighs cooked in a white wine sauce, with tender stem broccoli 🥦 peas and carrots.
Great served with new potatoes pasta or mashed potatoes. I think it went well with all three of them had some leftover and tried it with both of the versions.

Mediterranean style chicken legs in tomato sauce with minted new potatoes. Oh let’s not forget my favourite, sun dried tomatoes 🍅 😋 This was a great family meal, easy to make with minimal fuss.

💡Tip: Make what the family like, then introduce a new vegetable. This way everyone is happy, small introductions 🌟

Recipe development is always great when it makes the family happy at the same time 🤩

So this month is National Heart Month❤️, I know it’s ⏩ half way through the month! But guess what? the weather is getting mild…. in my eyes 😆. It could be me! because i've been living in West Yorkshire for 8 years ++. Point is don’t wait for the 20 degree plus weather, start enjoying the outdoors now, your mind and body will thank you for it.
Among other reasons are my favorite, the sunshine vitamin AKA vitamin D, you will need to be outdoors for 30mins a day between the months of March and October. Most of your vitamin D comes from the sun, working with calcium and phosphorus for healthy bones.
Foods containing vitamin D:
Oily fish - salmon, herring, sardines, kippers, pilchards, mackerel, trout and eel.
Cod liver oil - don't take if pregnant.
Egg yolks, liver and offal.
Many more food items, check your food labels.
Try the Mediterranean style of eating.

Supplement- All Adults, young people & children over the age of 4 should consider taking a daily supplement containing 10 micrograms (400 units) of vitamin D between October and early March

Salmon and prawn risotto cakes stuffed with cheese and served with spicy tomato sauce.
Check out IGTV for video. Make your risotto not to wet so it doesn’t fall off the spoon straight away. Press until cold, preferably 10-12hrs mine was left overnight.
Cut cold pressed risotto into squares or form balls in your hand.
Then flour, egg and breadcrumbs fry gently 😁

Prawn and salmon creamy risotto.
This can feel like it's time consuming, but it can make you 2 great dishes the family will enjoy. Have a winter warming plate of risotto on one day and cheesy crispy cakes the next. Children will love both versions. Cooked al dente of course!. Tip don’t turn your back while cooking this you have to stay with it all the way through.

How to reduce your salt? Why? Too much salt in our diets can lead to problems such as high blood pressure, higher risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney disease. Making your own sauces and meals can help reduce your salt intake. Making use of herbs, spices and hot sauces 😋 can help.
The most exciting thing I made for the year 😝 making hot sauce from scratch. What can your garden produce?
I decided to make my hot sauce from scratch, as most of you may know my pepper trees are producing at least five red peppers a day. I just don’t have enough things to make with them. The family is divided between who likes spicy food and who likes plain food. Solution I’ve made my hot sauce, I ran out of my supermarket hot sauce, reused the bottle. Refilled it with my home-made hot sauce K SAUCE! which I must say tastes really good. So far I’ve put it on everything I eat except cake 😆. I can’t wait to marinate some chicken🔥
