Yesterday, Rachel from Right at Home Leeds North had the pleasure of attending a peer support group session with Katie Furey from C Suite Leaders in Birmingham.

It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with other business owners from Right at Home UK. Katie shared some incredibly useful insights, and the collaborative atmosphere meant everyone picked up great tips from each other as well.

The team left feeling motivated, re-engaged, and full of fresh ideas. Grateful for the support and inspiration!

Teamwork, laughter, and a little Jenga magic! 🧱💬✨

We recently hit pause on the hustle to come together for a fun and meaningful team meeting. From a few rounds of Jenga to a heartfelt thank-you.

We took time to read through some amazing client reviews (seriously, you all are the best 💙) and celebrate long service. The future’s looking bright, and it’s all thanks to this incredible team.

Can’t believe I forgot to post this in June — but it’s never too late to celebrate someone as amazing as Maisie! 🥳💖

Maisie, you bring so much joy, kindness, and positive energy to everything you do. Whether you’re off on a holiday, looking after your niece and nephew, or just making people smile at work — you make such a difference.

And of course, how could we forget Alfie, our zoomie-loving, stair-fearing office whippet, who also turned 4 in June! 🐾🎂

🎉 Guiseley Carnival – Sunday 29th June, 12–5pm! 🎉

We’re proud to support the Guiseley Senior Citizens Association's Carnival this Sunday! Our own Rachel Critchley, Managing Director at Right at Home Leeds North will be volunteering for the third year running. Rachel is also a dedicated committee member and helps with the teas and coffees at the monthly coffee mornings for the group. 💛

The carnival raises funds for the group’s annual seaside trip, a wonderful day out for older members of the local community.

🌟 What’s on:

- Parade starts at 12pm from Guiseley Infants to St Oswald’s School

- Stalls, singers, dancers, dinosaurs, and more!

- Carnival King and Queen crowning

- All-day fun from 12–5pm

🎟️ Entry just £1 on the gate – everyone welcome!

🌟 A huge THANK YOU to the amazing Hannah! 🌟

After being a truly fantastic CareGiver with us at Right at Home North Leeds, Otley & Horsforth, Hannah is now moving back home to begin her career as a primary school teacher! 👩‍🏫 Her kindness, warmth, and dedication have made such a difference to the lives of our Clients - and to all of us on the team.

We’ll miss Hannah dearly, but we’re so excited to see her take this next step. And true to form, she’s even working an extra day tomorrow before she leaves Leeds - she just can’t keep away! 💙

Wishing you all the best in your new chapter, Hannah - they’re lucky to have you and we know you will be fabulous!!

We had such a fantastic time at The Great Get Together at Calverlands Complex Needs Service LCC this Wednesday! 💙 It was lovely seeing some familiar faces from Dementia Friendly Horsforth, Leeds Directory, Age UK Leeds and MHA Communities Horsforth and many more – always such a pleasure to connect with organisations doing such meaningful work.

We were wonderfully entertained by the cheerful sounds of the Pudsey Ukulele Band – they had toes tapping and spirits lifted all around! 🎶✨

One of the highlights? Getting my face painted with forget-me-nots – a beautiful tribute to those living with dementia. 💐 It definitely brought smiles to the faces of those I cared for later that day, and reminded me just how powerful small acts of joy can be.

Huge thanks to everyone who made the day so special — community spirit at its best!

💙 It’s Carers Week this week, and we want to take a moment to recognise and honour the incredible unpaid carers in our community — the quiet champions looking after loved ones day in and day out.

Whether you’re caring for a parent, partner, child, or friend, your dedication is an act of true love. But even the strongest need support sometimes.

At Right at Home Leeds North we understand a little of what it’s like for you and how it can feel lonely at times. And we want to remind you:

👉 You don’t have to care all alone.

Asking for help is a strength — not a weakness. Taking a break is essential — not selfish. Your wellbeing matters too.

If you need advice, support, or just someone to talk to, please reach out to our friends at Carers Leeds — they’re here for you💛 or give us a call for advice or support or just a listening ear - we don’t mind.
