How do you express yourself?

Art, talking, debates, venting, poetry, journalling, baking, cooking, singing…..

Do you find that there are times that it’s easy to authenticity express yourself and times when it’s hard.
I make a lot of art but also poetry, silly rhymes and jingles.
I use a lot of symbols and metaphors to help myself and others to explore a situation and communicate to others.

As a creative person I have often felt like I need to translate my experiences to other in a more auditory way when I am more of a kinaesthetic and visual learner and communicator. That’s frustrating….. I express this frustration in art.

What do you think about when you hear the word INTUITION?

Do you lean into the idea of really looking within and trusting your gut?

When you see external signs, do you make the links and start to see a message or direction these signs are pointing to?

Are you looking for guidance from friends, colleagues, family members or looking to a higher power?

Are there times that deep down you know what your intuition is telling you yet lack confidence to take action?

So many things to untangle as it’s definitely not linear and so many psychological and societal reasons why people ….. myself included might not trust their intuition.

In about 12 hours I will be going LIVE with Jenny to talk about this topic and how art holds a powerful role.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on the topic of INTUITION and any question you have for me to ask Jenny

Doodling with paint is a great way to express thoughts and feelings.

Sometimes it’s hard to name emotions and more often than not they are mixed confused and perhaps contradictory.

This is where art therapy comes in and I help people to feel safe enough to express their true selves, those real raw emotions that might feel heavy and painful.

It takes courage to access therapy or coaching and sometimes the work can be done independently which is why I have different options available for you to make use of the therapeutic benefits of art and creativity at your own pace.

The Creative R+R is available as a self study course or a one to one experience where you are supported and empowered to take time to pause and reset and express any emotional challenges you are experiencing.

Reach out to me with any questions or enquiries and let’s talk about the next steps and how I might be able to help you.

Life isn’t neat and tidy and perfect and it gets messy and complex sometimes and so why not make some art that holds this chaos.

I’m an art therapist with over a decade working with people in a trauma informed way and I hope you can colour outside of the lines when you need to and strive for high quality when that matters to you.

The mid life women I work with come to me for support and guidance because even though they they feel invisible, anxious, burnt-out, grieving or depressed they are ready to truly look within and explore and express their emotions authentically.

They know what really matters to them yet have lost confidence and don’t have the energy to keep showing up for others without feeling fulfilled.

The combination of art therapy and coaching suits someone who not only wants to feel safe and seen but knows she needs that accountability and practical support too.

If you want to learn to use art to improve your mental health grab my free workbook ART HEALS by my heading to the link in my bio and send me a message if you have a question about any of my offers
