Its so difficult to explain to someone who doesn’t have a chronic illness, i smile as much as i can because i dont want people to see me in pain, i want a happy life and to go out with friends but sometimes its just too difficult.

What i will say is that i have some incredible friends and family who understand my limitations and my struggles (especially the pain and tiredness!) that i can’t thank enough for still being there for me and checking in when i need it the most🖤
And i have the best parents that i could ever dream of, the things you do for me i will never be able to thank you enough🖤🥰

Well i am 1 week post op!
The pain is still there but im sure its going to settle down soon, trying to be positive 🤞🏻🥰
Though there is no wonder i have been in so much pain because i have yet another UTI affecting my kidneys and bladder so i am on my 3rd course of antibiotics this year so far!
Its all fun and games isn’t it, so annoyed🙄

Little update!

I’m now 4 days? 5 days?
Post op, i must say i wasn’t expecting to be in this much pain!
I definitely underestimated my pain tolerance and how sick pain makes me😅
I was hoping to be a bit better by now but unfortunately im spending my days in bed as the pain is just too much to cope with.
I am confident that it will get better but it’s just taking some time to heal.

I will try put a video together in the next few days explaining what the procedure was and how it was done as it is quite interesting!

Thankyou for all your lovely messages and checking in on me, it really means a lot.

Day 2 update!
Wow, they said mild discomfort but that’s a major understatement!

I know i am going to get better day by day but i am struggling a bit at the moment, lots of bed rest and water to flush everything through!
Oh and painkillers!!!

Sleeping is still rough because i turn over and wake up in pain but it will get easier.

They broke the stones to dust and its so strange to see because i can see all the tiny little bits in my catheter bag😂

Good morning lovelies, thankyou for all your kind words it has really helped keep my spirits up🖤🖤

Last night was a bit rough, i managed a little bit of sleep but i was on and off most of the night.
The pain in my left kidney is like a really dull ache and a sharp spiky pain at the same time which is weird!

My wee is bright red but apparently this is normal as it is flushing everything out and doing it’s job!
Does look scary though 😂😂

Im certainly chilling out for the next few days to recover ❤️‍🩹

Well guys i am home and in bed!
Thankyou so much for all your lovely comments, it means so much🖤

So he managed to get to 4 stones in the left side and broke them up using a laser, i am passing a lot of blood but that is totally normal and the fragments will pass through my catheter.

If this resolves the pain then they may be able to go into the right side and do the same at a later date.
I’m really sore and feeling a bit sick but that’s to be expected.
I’m absolutely shattered so im having an early night 😴😴

Not looking forwards to the early start, got to be there for 7:30 but it takes at least an hour to get there🥲😅
But it will all be worth it😁
