Hi lovely peeps,
I wanted to share a simple, cosy little ritual for 2026: a memory jar.
Life moves bloody fast, the days/months/years blur together, and so much slips by unnoticed. Is it just me babes?! There is something special about choosing to treasure little memories on purpose.
A memory jar is just a way of saying: this mattered. Itâs not about productivity or forcing gratitude (snore). Itâs about paying really gentle attention to life's sweet moments.
All you need is:
â A jar (any jar you love â Iâm using a recycled jar of gherkins đ
)
â Some small bits of paper
â A pen
Throughout the year, you drop in little notes. Moments you want to remember. They donât have to be big or shiny or revolutionary. They can be:
â A sentence someone said that stayed with you
â A hard day you got through
â A tiny pleasure (rain, tea, a laugh)
â A moment of rest, warmth or softness
I like decorating the jar with dried flowers pressed onto the glass.
You donât need to write every day. You donât need to only write happy things. The jar can hold real life, just as it is, babes.
And then, at the end of the year (or whenever it feels right), you open it. Read the notes. Notice what you forgot. Notice what you remember. Notice how much you lived.
