Feeling very grateful after Sunday’s January Reset at ✨❤️

Thank you so much to everyone who came along and shared such a nourishing, gentle afternoon together. It really means a lot to begin the year in such good company 💛

A few weeks ago my back went into a painful spasm, the kind that stops you in your tracks.

I had a physio assessment and an X-ray first, to rule out any disc or spinal issues. Once I knew it was muscular and safe to move gently, I could finally listen to what my body was asking for.

Restorative didn’t “fix” me, it supported my system to soften, breathe, and feel safe again.

Sometimes healing begins with listening, and this is something I aim to integrate into all my teaching.

A few weeks ago, I could barely walk, climb stairs, or sit in a chair. My lower back had gone into acute spasm, the pain was so intense I was on strong medication just to sleep.

I’ve experienced back pain before, worked with cranial sacral therapy and physio, but this time it felt different. My whole system was in protection mode.

Then I took 90 minutes to rest.
Not to stretch, not to fix, to surrender.

After one restorative yoga practice, I could walk again without pain, My perception cleared, the fog lifted. It was as though my body had finally exhaled.

Restorative yoga didn’t “heal” my back, it helped my nervous system feel safe enough to release.

🌙 Sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do for healing is to stop trying and start listening.

If your body’s asking for rest, this is your reminder: slowing down is not giving up, it’s a form of deep wisdom.

Showed up to class tonight dressed like an off-duty OT—turns out I packed my yoga gear in my gym bag instead of my day bag 🤦🏼‍♀️.

Luckily my Monday yogis are the best ❤️ and we had a good laugh. Remembering that it’s never about the yoga wear. It’s about how we show up, on our mats, with an open heart and a curious mind. ✨

A B O U T M E

My Yoga classes are designed to build strength and flexibility while staying mindfully aware in the practice. I believe that yoga can be empowering for all, helping to build confidence and a strong sense of well-being. You can expect to leave my classes feeling restored and yet challenged as I invite you to relax and have fun while simultaneously becoming energised, grounded and strong.

I first came to yoga in 2010 when I was searching for a class where I could develop strength and flexibility without becoming tired of the same old routines and gym sessions. I quickly discovered that yoga not only gave me the strength and flexibility that I was searching for but also helped me to focus from within, developing a much stronger mind-body relationship. I now teach out of my desire to share this practice with as many people as I can.

Anna has trained with the British Wheel of Yoga at Tri-Yoga in London, which is also accredited by Yoga Alliance Professionals.
