Making deliveries in the run up to Christmas is one of our favourite times of the year. It's extra-rewarding seeing the smiles on customers' faces during the festive period. 🎄

We also love being Santa's helpers, delivering shiny new trikes and colourful wheelchairs for children to enjoy on Christmas day. 🎅

With the Christmas holidays almost here, we wanted to thank everyone for the support this year. 🙏

It's been another busy but rewarding year here at Independence Mobility and we couldn't have done it without you all.

This year we've...
☑️ Carried out assessments and delivered new equipment to hundreds of customers.
☑️ Introduced a host of fantastic new products to our range.
☑️ Attended a variety of events and exhibitions, meeting lots of amazing people.
☑️ Delivered lunch & learn training sessions to many OT and clinical teams.
☑️ Continued to highlight accessible organisations through our Breaking Boundaries series of features.
☑️ Launched our new volunteering initiative, giving every team member a day each year to give their time to local charities.
☑️ Enjoyed some fun team outings, spending time together away from the office.

We look forward to working with and seeing you all again in 2026, but in the meantime, have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 🎄🎊

If you didn’t know, Breaking Boundaries is our video series uncovering Yorkshire's most inspiring inclusive clubs.

We're helping people with disabilities discover opportunities that can transform their lives. Because too many people don't know these amazing clubs even exist!

So far, we’ve had the pleasure of featuring wheelchair dance, powerchair football ⚽, para table tennis 🏓, and incredible support and sporting groups through Disability Sport Yorkshire. Each one creating spaces where everyone belongs.

This incredible 4x4 powerchair is a true off-road powerhouse, built to tackle challenging terrain with confidence and ease.

With front and rear wheels mounted on their own pivoting arms, the XT4 maintains superb ground contact, delivering a smooth, stable ride across uneven surfaces.

Last Sunday, our Directors Anthony and Chloe attended the STEPS Rehabilitation Foundation Christmas Charity Stars switch-on - and what a wonderful event it was. 🌟

We're proud to sponsor one of stars this year and to support the incredible work that the STEPS Rehabilitation team do, helping people through their recovery from life-changing injuries and illness.

It was a lovely occasion, full of joy and Christmas spirit, culminating in the illumination of the spectacular stars display.

A huge thank you to STEPS Rehabilitation and STEPS Rehabilitation Foundation for such a heart-warming occasion.

📢 New blog: Smarter Wheelchair Driving with CoMoveIT

In a recent episode of the mobility podcast Wheel Chat, Anthony spoke with one of the CoMoveIT team about their innovative head-foot wheelchair steering system, the CoMoveIT Smart.

This technology enables people with complex movement disorders to drive a wheelchair independently and often for the first time.
