Walk and Talk – Date Change

Our first Walk and Talk group of the year with Marie Curie UK, due to take place tomorrow (5th March), has unfortunately had to be rearranged.

We’ll now be meeting on Thursday 12th March at 10am at Lister Park, gathering by the stag statue as planned.

We’d love you to join us & Marie Curie Yorkshire for a gentle walk, friendly conversation and supportive space to connect with others. If you were planning to come tomorrow, we hope you can make the new date instead.

Please help us spread the word 💛

We are so proud to be a part of this!

🌿 Our Community Notice Board Has Had a Refresh! 🌿

We’ve updated our community notice board this week and it’s now packed with information about what’s happening locally over the next few months.

We’re proud to have over ten different community organisations contributing to the board — sharing details of free activities, support groups, events and resources available right here in Bramley.

From wellbeing sessions and creative workshops to local support services and family-friendly activities, there’s something for everyone — and much of it is completely free to access.

If you live locally, please feel free to pop by, have a browse, and see what might be helpful for you or someone you know.

And if you’d like to add something to the board — an event, group, or local resource — we’d love to include it. Just pop in to see us or give Jodie a call on 0113 320 0049.

Community is stronger when we stay connected 💛

Earlier this week, our team took part in a sound bath experience together – and it was something really special!

In the work we do, we are constantly holding space for others. We support families through some of the most difficult and emotional moments of their lives, and that takes care, compassion and energy. Taking time as a team to pause, breathe and simply be felt incredibly important.

The sound bath gave us the opportunity to slow down and reset. Through gentle vibrations and calming sounds, we were able to relax deeply, reflect, and reconnect – both with ourselves and with each other.

Creating space for wellbeing isn’t just something we encourage for the families we support; it’s something we try to practise ourselves too. Looking after our team helps us continue to look after our community with the care and attention they deserve.

A big thank you to Eva Lake and everyone at Studio 6 who made the experience so calming and restorative. 💛

🌱 Biodegradable Nature Urns – a gentle return to nature 🌱

For those who want to honour a loved one in an environmentally conscious way, biodegradable nature urns offer a beautiful and meaningful option. Made from natural materials, these urns are designed to break down gently over time, allowing ashes to return to the earth and become part of the natural cycle again.

They can be used for burial, scattering, or even as part of a living memorial, helping create a lasting tribute that reflects a love of nature and sustainability.

If you’d like to learn more about biodegradable nature urns and whether they might be right for you or your family, you can find further information via the link below.
