SCRUBS is a unique scheme that offers any student considering a career in surgery the chance to get involved with audits and clinical research in a specialty of their choice
How does it work? SCRUBS:
- offers projects from a wide range of surgical and allied specialties
- matches you up according to your area of interest and availability
- assigns you a Research Buddy & a Consultant Superv
isor to work with
- projects are designed to be completed part time out of hours
- ensures all required resources are provided
Each completed project is invited for submission to the annual SCRUBS Conference where you could be giving a poster or oral presentation of your work! Even if you are still not sure what you want to do, we offer projects from specialties linked with surgery such as anaesthetics, radiology, pathology and oncology! You don't have to be 'academic' to join - as long as you are interested and willing to put in the effort, you are welcome! How will this benefit me? SCRUBS:
