This 5 week course will help you build strength, improve mobility and work with your body to support your core and pelvic floor.

Restore Your Core®️ is the method I used to heal my own ‘irreparable’ diastasis and rebuild confidence and strength in my body.

Despite teaching yoga and Pilates, and working with bodies every day, having 3 children in 4 years left me feeling like an alien in my own body. It felt broken, exhausted and a lost cause.

RYC®️ changed that.

Combining in-depth theory; yoga and Pilates-influenced exercises; and specific breath work, RYC® will help you move with a new level of awareness, so your core and pelvic floor can be responsive and functional in every activity.

During this 5-week course you’ll learn what unhelpful movement and postural patterns might be contributing to your symptoms, and how to reset them.

You will also learn how your breath influences your pelvic floor, and what small but significant adjustments you can make to create lasting change.

With a new level of whole-body awareness, you will be able to gradually and safely return to the activities you love, whether running after your kids, or running a marathon.

Alongside 5 weeks of live classes, you will also get:

I’ll be taking a much-needed break this summer to enjoy a family holiday.

If you’re on my mailing list you will know we are heading to Kenya and Malawi for an epic trip, which includes some charity work in Katangi, Kenya; a safari in Masai Mara and a visit to Lake Malawi.

The studio will be having a little snooze while I’m away, but we will be back to it on Friday 8 August, fully refreshed and ready to roll out the mats again.

If you’re ready to start moving well and feeling great, Move Well Studio has a yoga or Pilates class for you.

Located in a beautifully converted barn, away from noise, busyness and parking chaos, Move Well is the ideal space to unwind, reconnect and feel better in body and mind.

Every class is taught by me, Louisa Thomas - Yoga, Core & More.

I’ve been teaching yoga in the Wetherby area since 2007, and offer yoga and Pilates classes that combine functional and strength-building movements with deep rest and relaxation.

Working as a core and pelvic floor injury specialist for the past 10 years has helped me to read and understand bodies in an entirely new way, beyond any text book or teacher training formula.

My classes take the best from modern-day, evidence-based rehabilitation practices and blend them with ancient healing wisdom to ensure the physical body, the breath, the nervous system and the mind are all working in a balanced way - the perfect combination for wellness.

Classes at Move Well are suitable for all ages and abilities.

I offer classes for pregnancy, for the immediate post-natal period and for that ‘no-man’s land’ time when we’re not quite post-natal, but also not quite ready to join a regular class.

The classes are attended by men and by women, by those who are totally new to movement, and those who are professional movers. All ages, shapes and injuries are welcome.

Wherever you are starting from, every class will help you to make new discoveries about your body, build sustainable strength and improve your overall mobility. You will also enjoy some much-needed time-out to focus on you, learning mindfulness and breathing practices that will serve you as you move with more ease through life’s challenges.

Are you in need of some R&R?

Want a morning to slow down, feel nourished and recharge your batteries?

Join me, to rest, reset and be nurtured in beautiful surroundings during this half-day Mums’ R&R Retreat.

The retreat takes place at Move Well, Sicklinghall. This beautiful, light and tranquil studio has free parking on site, floor to ceiling windows, original exposed beams, cosy organic blankets to snuggle under and underfloor heating to help melt away tension.

The perfect gift for Mother’s Day, this mini-retreat is open to mums of any age, stage or ability. 🌸

Our morning will begin with some gentle, grounding yoga to help untangle tight shoulders, get the spine flowing with energy and release restrictions from the body.

Working with the breath, we will give the mind time to quieten, shedding the mental load to leave you feeling lighter, brighter and fully recharged.

Our guided Yoga Nidra practice will help you drift into a state of ‘alert sleep’, taking you deeper into relaxation as you snuggle under a blanket and melt away tension.

Our morning will end with a sound bath, from the brilliant Hayley . Using a soothing blend of gentle chimes, crystal bowls and a gong, the sounds are brilliantly crafted to reset the brainwaves, taking you into a state of deep, healing rest.

Hot drinks, fruit and homemade snacks will be available during the morning, and time will be given to enjoy a walk in the beautiful Sicklinghall countryside, to journal or to simply rest under a blanket.

After having 3 children in less than 4 years, I was told my diastasis-recti was so severe I would need surgery to repair my abdominal wall. Terrified at the prospect of surgery, I set out on a quest to heal my diastasis and to change the paradigm around post-natal recovery. Within 3 months of starting RYC I felt stronger than I had ever felt. Over the following months, my ‘irreparable’ diastasis healed and I began to understand bodies in a completely different way, and to teach movement in a new way.

In my 10 years as RYC teacher, I have supported hundreds of clients worldwide to improve their core and pelvic floor wellness, as well as educating hundreds of RYC teachers across the globe.
