Healing Touch Rehab is a specialist paediatric, adult neurological and vestibular rehabilitation service offering assessment, management and treatment of children, teenagers and adults who present with physical problems as a result of a neurological condition. We treat a wide range of clients ranging from acquired brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, nerve injuries, multiple trauma, stroke and adult presentation of cerebral palsy.

As we get closer to the end of the year and our festive break, we’d like to take some time to say thank you to our fantastic team, partners and clients for making 2025 one of our best years yet!

This year has seen us celebrate some really incredible milestones including:
⭐ the opening of our in-person clinic in Horsforth, which is continuing to go from strength to strength
⭐ our annual Collaboration in Rehab conference which was a huge success (keep your eyes peeled for details of the 2026 dates).
⭐ the launch of our paediatric intensive therapy provision

As 2025 comes to a close, we are excited to look forward to the next 12 months, which has a whole lot more in store!

Once again, we are proud to support Day One Trauma Support and their annual Christmas Appeal. In place of sending Christmas cards this year, we have made a donation to help further their vital work with individuals and families affected by major trauma.

Day One Trauma is an incredible charity that supports anyone affected by major physical trauma and helps rebuild their lives. The team are also excited to get involved in the Day One Christmas Jumper Day, another great way to help raise funds for a fantastic cause.

Every step counts, but the first few matter most 👣

Our Paediatric Intensive Rehabilitation Service is built on one clear principle: children’s brains have an incredible ability to adapt, especially when therapy starts early and happens often.

The Innowalk, a robotic-assisted dynamic standing device, enables individuals with moderate to profound physical disabilities to access movement and physical activity. It provides safe, guided, repetitive movement, close to normal gait, by supporting the body in an upright position with weight bearing.

The introduction of the Innowalk Pro has been a game-changer for our centre, enabling children with complex needs to engage in physical activity in a safe and supported manner. The equipment has been part of Healing Touch Rehab Centre therapy toolbox since September 2025 and we have already made a meaningful changes to lives of many children with complex disabilities.

The Innowalk Pro, enables supported weight-bearing and rhythmic, cycling-like movement, allowing our children to safely activate key muscle groups, rebuild confidence, and take part in therapy earlier than might otherwise be possible.

“The Innowalk Pro is used as part of our toolkit for engaging children who might otherwise struggle to participate. It’s not replacing therapy, it’s enabling it.” says our clinical Director Kay Ganguly.

We work closely with families and referrers to design targeted rehab packages that focus on real, measurable progress.

✨First Christmas in Our New Rehab Centre ✨

This week marked a truly special moment for our team, our very first Christmas celebration in our brand-new rehab centre 🎄 A space that, not long ago, existed only as plans, hopes, and conversations is now filled with laughter, connection, and purpose ✨
We spent the afternoon immersed in team games, shared stories, and intentional reflection, not just on the past year, but on the journey that has shaped who we’ve become ☺️
In the busyness of opening a new service and supporting families through life-changing challenges, it can be easy to overlook how far we’ve actually come. But, we paused. We breathed. We looked around… and we saw the growth, individually, professionally, and collectively 🙌
What stood out most wasn’t the building (as beautiful as it is), or the decorations, or even the activities. It was the people. The way this team lifts each other ! The curiosity, compassion, and resilience each person brings. The shared mission that silently threads us together 💫
It is a reminder that culture isn’t built in boardrooms. It’s built in moments of connection, in trust earned, in challenges navigated together, and in the small celebrations that make us feel human and united ☺️
