🌸 Groundwork Yorkshire/ In This Together (Wakefield) was at Appletree Community Garden🌸

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of delivering a successful session with everyone at Appletree Women’s Group!

We spoke about the importance of cervical screening, tackled common myths, and encouraged everyone to put their health first.

After the session, we enjoyed a beautiful picnic in the garden, sharing food, laughter, and stories. It was a heartwarming afternoon full of connection and community spirit.

Thank you to everyone who came along and made it so special.

Today, In This Together - Wakefield had the privilege of joining a fantastic community event at South Kirkby Miners Welfare Social Club ! 🎉

📲 CHANGES TO HOW YOU ARE INVITED FOR A CERVICAL SCREENING💌

As part of the Cervical Cancer Elimination Plan, NHS England is moving to digital invitations for cervical screening.

Here’s how it works:
✅ If you have the NHS App, your invitation will be sent there first
📱 If you don’t open it, you’ll receive a text message
📬 If the text isn’t delivered or read, a letter will then be sent in the post

This new system helps make things faster, more efficient, and easier for you to stay on top of your health. 💙
