🚨 WEDNESDAY WARNING 🚨
Side effects may include:
✔ Feeling slightly more like a functioning human
✔ Laughing with strangers who become your people
✔ Learning things about your brain you wish you knew years ago
✔ Accidentally improving your life (we apologise in advance)

At NEU Community Wellbeing CIC, we keep it real.
No awkward “share your feelings in a circle” energy (unless you want to 👀), just proper conversations, practical tools, and a space where you can actually just be.

Because let’s be honest… life be lifing sometimes.
And nobody should have to deal with that alone.

🌱 Positive Wellbeing for All
Because when everybody unites… everybody thrives.

Pop down, bring yourself, bring a mate, bring snacks if you’re elite.

What an AMAZING week 💛

Today we were lucky enough to be invited to deliver a talk at Dear Albert (and yes… the ukulele made an appearance 🎶). The energy in the room was unreal—so much engagement, openness, and positivity. We really hope this is just the beginning!

Earlier this week we took our community to Braunstone Park for some sports fun, and on Thursday we hosted a creative session with some new faces joining us 🌱
We were also joined by who kindly ran a seed giveaway for the community.

Here’s the reality though…

All of this is currently unfunded.

Every session we deliver is only possible because of the people who have supported us through our GoFundMe. Without that support, this work simply doesn’t happen.

So if you can—please donate, share, or even just cheer us on. It genuinely makes a difference.

We’re building something special here… and we’re just getting started 💫

🏡 NEU NEEDS A HOME

We’re out here supporting people in Braunstone every week…
Running wellbeing sessions, helping people feel less alone, building confidence, stopping things getting worse before they hit crisis.

And it’s working.
People are coming back. Opening up. Improving.

But here’s the honest bit…

👉 We don’t have a proper base

We’re bouncing between spaces, carrying resources around like a travelling circus (minus the fun snacks)

We need somewhere we can actually call home:

* 3+ days a week
* A room we can use properly
* Somewhere we can decorate and make safe
* Space to store our stuff
* Affordable (we’re a CIC, not Amazon 😅)

If you’ve got a space, know someone who has, or can point us in the right direction… PLEASE shout.

This isn’t just about a room.
It’s about giving people a place to feel safe, heard, and supported.

📩 Message us or email: neucommunity@neuwellbeing.co.uk

And if you can’t help — share this. You never know who’s got a random empty room just waiting to become something powerful.

Now Everybody Unite.

Because let’s be real for a second…
Life is doing the absolute most right now 😅
Stress, pressure, isolation — it’s a lot.

That’s exactly why we exist.

At NEU, we’re not about fluffy “just think positive” vibes.
We’re about real, practical wellbeing support that actually works — in real communities, with real people.

✨ Trauma-informed
✨ Lived experience led
✨ Built around YOU, not a one-size-fits-all model

We focus on what actually makes a difference:
✔ Confidence
✔ Emotional wellbeing
✔ Connection
✔ Resilience

And we don’t just guess if it’s working…
We measure it properly using tools like WEMWBS to track real change over time

Because wellbeing isn’t a buzzword.
It’s the foundation for stronger people, stronger communities, and better futures.

💛 “Strong communities are built on strong people.”

If you’re part of a community group, organisation, or just someone thinking:
👉 “Yeah… we actually need this”

Let’s talk.

We want to say a huge thank you to Anmol Sweet Centre 🙌 for stepping in and donating meals for two members of our NEU community 💛

At the same time, we need to be honest about what’s happening behind the scenes.

We are currently supporting a Sikh couple who speak no English and have been living in a hotel for months, waiting for a housing decision. No income. No access to food. No clear communication. Repeatedly being told they may have to leave.

This is where it gets difficult to ignore…

As an unfunded community organisation, we are being contacted after 5pm with “urgent” requests to step in and support—when statutory services should already have this covered.

We will always show up for people. That’s what we do.
But community organisations should not be the safety net for gaps in the system.

Thanks to persistence, advocacy, and a LOT of back-and-forth (plus Google Translate doing overtime), we’ve managed to build trust and make sure their most basic need is met—food.

But this isn’t sustainable. And it shouldn’t be necessary.

We’re asking those with responsibility to act—faster, clearer, and with dignity for the people affected.

city council — we need better coordination, communication, and support for those left in limbo.

To — thank you for showing what real community looks like 🙏

If other local businesses can support with food or essentials, please get in touch 💬

🚨 Fin is running 50km… on purpose 🚨

On 20th June, Fin is taking on the North Yorks Ultra Challenge – that’s 50km of trails, hills, and questionable life decisions 🏃‍♂️

Not chased.
Not late.
Just… vibes.

BUT 👇 there is a serious reason behind it.

Fin is raising money for NEU Community Wellbeing CIC (Now Everybody Unite) – supporting people in our communities who are dealing with stress, trauma, isolation, and the kind of struggles that don’t always get support.

Because the truth is…
A lot of people are not okay
…but also not “bad enough” to get help.

That’s where NEU comes in 💚

We provide early, practical wellbeing support that helps people:
✔ feel less alone
✔ build confidence and resilience
✔ manage stress and emotions
✔ actually start to feel better

This isn’t just “nice to have” – it’s life-changing, preventative support that stops things getting worse.

So while Fin is somewhere between Scarborough and Whitby asking himself “why did I sign up for this?”…

👉 You can support something that genuinely makes a difference.

💥 Donate what you can
💥 Cheer him on (he will need it… a lot)

Let’s turn 50km of suffering into something powerful.

Because when everybody unites… everybody thrives 💚
