BTL High Intensity is really effective for the treatment of chronic refractory wounds

Refractory wounds are chronic wounds that do not respond normally to conventional treatment for more than 1-2 months and develop into chronic ulcers with drug-resistant bacterial infections.

Great news came from a study by Lu et al. (2021) where 60 patients with refractory wounds participated in where a group of 30 patients was treated with High-Intensity Laser together with standard wound care. The control group was treated only with conventional wound treatment.

In a group treated by High-Intensity Laser, they observed acceleration of inflammatory absorption, increased collagen synthesis, shortened wound healing time, and reduce wound size.

HIL is effective for the treatment of chronic refractory wounds and should be considered for use with other therapeutic modalities.
