Hi all, after disbanding GB Wheelchair Cuesports we've been looking at different avenues to take not just wheelchair pool but disability pool as a whole.
We 1st had the Ultimate Pool Diversity Challenge in November which then led to the 2 ruleset weekend in February. After looking at how these two events went we decided to form the European Disability Challenger Series to move forward as a separate entity from Ultimate Pool whilst still promoting Ultimate Pool and it's Disability Series.

Aslam Abubaker will be the CEO of the EDCS, Gaz Walker will be the Treasurer and liaison officer for the EDCS. We will also look at appointing a player committee after event 2 in November to sit and discuss any changes (if needed) to take in to 2026 with events 3 to 6.

Everything will be transparent, Gaz has sorted a dedicated account for all monies in and out involving the EDCS.

European Disability Challenger Series
Acc- 26464633
S/C- 04-06-05
Ref - Your name.

Which means all tournament winnings will/can be paid on the same day or day after the event.

There will be a rules and info post for match days and more which will go in to the new chat group should players want to join the new Series. Both rulesets will still be used with Blackball on a Saturday and international rules on a Sunday.

To join the new series in time for event 1 at the end of June there will be a non refundable £50 deposit, Payable by April 15th. This will cover your series match Top and trophies.
So when you pay your deposit please message Gaz your shirt size. Shirt order needs to be in for mid April to ensure tops are ready for event 1.

Also when you've paid the deposit you will be added to the new chat group and removed from the 2 currently in use (GB and Ultimate) as we will be closing those chats down soon.

Yours in pool 🎱

Well what a few weeks it's been. Not being well since the start of November but haven't let it show so it didn't spoil the teams exploits at the world championships in Malta and at the 1st ever diversity pool tournament in Leicester. Whilst the world's were great for myself and the team it was a little underwhelming due to a lack of competition from other nations, at the moment that's the way it is but fingers crossed with the diversity comp we held on the 16th it could be the way forward for international disability pool.

I'd initially come about holding a mixed disability pool comp from the great work done in France by Eric Leroux. Ground work had been done here with Club 147 hosting the 1st ever comp and entries were coming in quicker than I expected, then a fortunate meeting with Mark Quirk put Ultimate Pool's name to it to provide a bigger spotlight for what could be something great going forward. Players from across England and a great team from Ireland Learning Disabilities Pool Team with manager Joe Quinn Jnr made for a great day of blackball pool. With a live ultimate pool stream on Tiktok with fab commentary from Nathan Slater and Tony Holgate they helped us showcase players with severe autism, cerebral palsy, nager syndrome, Parkinson's, neuro divergence conditions and much more. The feedback from all players and supporters was more than positive with the common consensus that this is the way forward for disability pool, everyone playing together to build a capable category for events like the nations cup, Euros and World's. Also congrats to the 1st ever winners of the diversity challenge Mahomed Abubaker main winner, Gary Rambo plate winner and Jess Walker ladies winner and a huge huge thanks to all that played as this couldn't happen without you too. 🎱👊🎱 Looking forward to 2025 and more diversity pool.
